good story, great narrator
Revisado: 12-12-23
I really liked the narrator, and the storyline too. The way the main character spoke of her spouse was beautifully haunting, those sections of the story I loved and felt for.

Drawn out beginning but happily pleased how it ended.
Revisado: 12-12-23
The narrator was great. The beginning of the story dragged a little bit and thought I would have to give up but I'm happy I didn't. I'm going to get the next book by this author if it becomes a series.

kept me guessing...
Revisado: 12-12-23
I really enjoyed this book. It kept me guessing and at some points in the story, I thought how is the writer going to pull this off...and the story played out quite well. The narrator did a fantastic job with all the voices. Really worth a listen if you like long stories and character development.

Enjoyable
Revisado: 06-24-21
Firstly, the narrator is superb, just superb and in fact carried the story. I thought this story was a little long and could have been cut down a bit with useless wording. I just feel that The Alice Network was a better story. I loved the first half of the book and how the characters met and formed friendships but thought the ending fell flat. The only reason I continued with the story was to hear the narrator.

This story was a nice to listen to for a beach read. A love story between lost loves, family and what one will do and act to preserve the legacy for future generations. The ending was a bit rushed I found but still a good story nonetheless.

Best Story, Best Narrator

This is my second book by this author. This story is gripping on its own but the impact the narrator does elevates it! I found myself taking the long road home just so I can listen more. ❤

An amazing story
Revisado: 11-13-20
I really enjoyed this book! The story changes between time periods but it's very easy to follow. The flow of each character really comes together beautifully at the end and explains perfectly how each are intertwined with the other. The details of the surroundings weren't drawn out completely which is a good thing, descriptive but not dripping with it! I can still see the manor in my mind and how the river sounds in the distance. This was my first book by this author and it's not the last. I also enjoyed the narrator who did well by emphasizing emotions to get that real connection to the story. Well done!

This book will make you think about all the things right and wrong with the "norm". Truly a great book that everyone should read. I can picture this being a book to be chosen in high school to engage students. Great book, great author, great narrator.
