A fresh take on a classic

Amazing Performance

Rosamund Pike brought this book to life. Robert Jordan's story is good, entertaining, and I'm looking forward to continuing the adventure. But Rosamund's narration is amazing. She brought to life so many characters, so much emotion, and it was so well paced. She didn't just tell the story, she acted out all the parts. I loved it. I hope the other audio books will be re-released with Rosamund's narration and soon! or I may have to actually READ the next books because I dont think I can go back to the story with the other narrators.

Would make a great show!

This is one of my favorite fantasy series right behind Outlander and Game of Thrones. I really enjoy the depth of detail in Terry Mancour's writing, and John Lee's naration style could not be more perfect for it. Can't wait for the next one!

Hard to finish

I found this book to be sappy and annoying and too predictable The writing was unsophisticated, almost juvenile and the narrator made it sound like happy story-time in every scene. That, combined with the constant sexual innuendo made it a difficult book to finish. I only made it to the end because the story itself had a tiny bit of potential and I am a tiny bit 'OCD'.

intriguing story but overall annoying read

I liked the story....It was not too predictable, but the writing was simplistic and too cliche and I felt lacking description . Along with the narrator's acting style the production was more like a soap opera than a good movie.

hobbit meets alien death march

The whole story is about the violent deaths of men, women and children. a lot of gore and killing, maybe too much. It made me cringe and I almost did not finish.
