Historia
The threat of war has arrived at Diem's doorstep, along with a new discovery that could save her people. To use it, she must survive the next thirty days by forming a devil's bargain with the people she hates most: the royal family of House Corbois. As she dives into the world of the Descended elite, Diem quickly realizes good and evil aren't as simple as they seem. Old prejudices are challenged, and new loyalties blur the line between friend and foe.

WHY?!!
Revisado: 08-31-24
Just a heads up. Deim does not mature even after suffering severe consequences from rash decisions.
In fact, she seems to actually regress. She lets imbeciles lead her around by the nose.
I am at chapter 10 and dont know if i can stomach much more.

There’s a price on Everley Donovan’s head. Fleeing from the queen’s false accusation of murder and sorcery, the girl with the clock heart knows there’s only one way to prove her innocence. It’s where flesh-eating behemoths thrive, long-lost gods hide, and an artifact of destructive force awaits the death grip of the immortal prince.

Little Warning
Revisado: 12-29-19
It's probably a little late by now and you have already most likely noticed, but just a heads up. It does not get any better. While genuine and extreme credit goes to the narrator for trying to add to the story and actually trying to become the MC for us, the yelling and screeching gets to be too much sometimes. Otherwise, ok story, but not as good as her other series.

Historia
After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. But Calaena is far from loyal to the crown. Keeping up the charade - while pretending to do the king's bidding - will test her skills in an entirely new way. And it certainly isn't the only point of confusion for the young girl. Because though she's made her choice between Dorian and Chaol, the ways of the heart are never simple...

Main Character Intelligence Level
Revisado: 12-27-19
I just hate when an author uses the stupidity of the MC to drive the plot line. Slight spoiler!!!!!!!
It must take an average intelligence to be a successful assasin. So why in the world would someone trust a low life person who works at an admittedly scummy carnival with secrets that has the potential to destroy the world?? Just sayin

For me, the book started off slowly and I didn't think I was going to like/finish it. So glad I did! The narrator was good. Just hang in there through the slow start and enjoy!

Narration!!!!!!!
Revisado: 10-09-19
OMG! Okay, for the 1st half of the book the narration is actually passable. Not really the voice I would have chosen for these particular characters, but she does an ok job. Then, inexplicably, about halfway through, the narrator portrays all dialogue of all characters in a high pitched whiny sing song voice. It's a shame to ruin this classic novel in this manner. It was really jarring and took me completely out of the story. I guess that's why you can add Audible narration to the kindle book for a buck 99.

Ugh. About halfway through. Not sure if I can continue. Book 3 and MC is STILL raging at her friends for not telling her she was uploaded to the game. Same boring intrigue about AI who are out to get her, her mother STILL whiny and guilty about daughters condition. This is book 3 people. Let's move on and get over it. It ok
Revisado: 09-08-19
Sappy melodrama amidst mind numbing statistics. I love d &d as much as the next person, and when others have complained about different books I have read using too many player stats I have disagreed. In this book however, the author went way overboard with item and character stats. So the long length of the book is due in part to the stat readings. The author also let his sexist flag fly high. I mean the dude goes berserker over a rapist, but sees absolutely nothing wrong with fondling a woman who has passed out from drinking too much. Um.......yeah. This behavior could be considered rape, dude. Kinda scarey if you are a physician in real life. The main character becomes somewhat of an arrogant egotistical scumbag, in my humble olinion. I am only half way through, will let you know if my opinion changes. It's a shame because I enjoyed the first few books.

Revisado: 07-16-19
The founders of Aizai continue on their paths of enlightenment. The book slows down a bit, the characteristic 2nd book slump but does continue to whet our appetite for when all the pieces of the puzzle will come together. Waiting for the 3rd installment! Historia
Seventeen-year old Wolfdon dreams of travelling to Aizai, a forgotten realm connected to our world by invisible sol-lines. He begins his search as a word-warrior in his hometown in France in the late 17th century, hunting for rare books that mention Aizai. One obscure book, by the philosopher Paulo de la Costa Santamiguero, has given him a lead to start his journey: to go to the northern coast of Spain where a portal to Aizai supposedly exists.

Metaphysical Fantasy
Revisado: 07-13-19
An enjoyable listen. Well written and well narrated, although the narrator has a tendency to speak too fast! Some of the ideas presented need and deserve pondering but the narration is so fast I needed to stop and decrease the speed for awhile so I could absorb the material being presented. I hope the narrator heeds the advice to slow down, as then his narration would be perfect! I look forward to listening to the next book. I received this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.
