Long shots that stir the pot
Revisado: 10-10-19
Interesting, as always, Harari tries to take no moral ground on anything except when comparing humanism to previous frameworks, including when analyzing a Terminator-like future scenario. Great science fiction (or is it science reality?) but very poor on guideline discussion.

Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf--ked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f--king miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

The message is that if you have a problem, it's because you don't really want to solve it. Which is bullshit.

Technical analysis has flourished for thousands of years on the outskirts of the financial establishment. In The Evolution of Technical Analysis: Financial Prediction from Babylonian Tablets to Bloomberg Terminals, MIT's Andrew W. Lo details how the charting of past stock prices for the purpose of identifying trends, patterns, strength, and cycles within market data has allowed traders to make informed investment decisions based in logic, rather than on luck.

When Sam Harris wrote his book Letter to a Christian Nation, Dr. Ravi Zacharias felt called to answer. The End of Reason is a clear and powerful response to the “utter bankruptcy” of Harris’s New Atheism as it explains the true nature of God, the foundation for evil in the world, and the basis of true morality.

Bold response to bold questions
Revisado: 05-30-16
Ravi Zacharias show an enormous breadth of knowledge and reason dismantling several points of the atheistic view, the most important one being that their critique of pain is based on values brought by christianity. I give 4 instead of 5 stars because he sometimes borders sentimentalism. Awesome work though.

In Leadership BS Jeffrey Pfeffer shines a bright light on the leadership industry, showing why it's failing and how it might be remade. He sets the record straight on the oft-made prescriptions for leaders to be honest, authentic, and modest; tell the truth; build trust; and take care of others. By calling BS on so many of the stories and myths of leadership, he gives people a more scientific look at the evidence and better information to guide their careers.

Excellent down to earth ideas
Revisado: 03-23-16
I started the book with great hesitation: is it just a cynic preaching cynicism? No. It is a book on the realities of life and what you will have to face if you want to climb certain highs. It seems that the only way to avoid these problems is thru entrepreneurship... And still, be mindful of the coup... Very good book, excellent narration .

Somewhat interesting tips
Revisado: 03-04-16
While the book provides some interesting tips on nudging towards happiness, the philosophical part seems very light and poor. "Sentimental hedonism" is what it says: sentimental and hedonistic, just the two things on which our culture is already embedded in. The part about saliency is very interesting, however... The narration is monotonic.
