Sexy story!

I loved it! Loved it a loop much, I binged listened to it! Had to give up last night.....my eyes kept closing down, but first thing this morning, had to get my Parker fix! Even now, I miss these characters! It was HOT, sexy and heartfelt! A great listen and read that is hard to put down! So far, the best M/M/M story I have ever read and I can't wait to re-read it again!

It feels more like a commentary than a love story.

I loved it and I was nervous in listening since I mis-read the title and thought I was in for emotional angst. This time was different and throughout the story I was referred to the heart-breaking tragedy of Princess Diana dying in a car accident while with her bodyguard after being chased by the paparazzi. It reminded me of us the public making assumptions about celebrities and their lives.
Just say that I had luckily never got bitten by the "dying to know all" bug and was never really interested in celebrity life or their private lives, so part of me just couldn't connect to the reasons why our main character would put himself in situations that would put him in danger and meet people that had the opportunity to insult himself and his family.
I also couldn't connect with the public's desire for info about their private lives - wait, I lie. There are actors who I love and i want to see what other work they have done and if they are married or not, so I can kinda understand. But if they have that amount of money for bodyguards, wouldn't they have the money to better protect their privacy or person? Wouldn't they allow the kids self-defence classes? See, certain things I couldn't connect to, but that's ok.
I connected with the book's heart.

A book that should be recommended

Mr Benjamin has a way with the language like that of a poet when referring to the emotional aspects of the characters yet his storytelling style is direct and to the point.
Even though the audible says it was a Harlequin romance, this book is a piece of literature. I never thought I would stay up till 4am to finish the book and I never thought it would make me cry. Only it has reminded me that what binds us all together is love, and through all the loss we go through and all the exhaustion in helping your loved ones fight through, the one thing that keeps us fighting and going is love.

Beautiful and Sensual

I felt this story was beautiful, sensitive and sensual and I would recommend it as a definite read.
But as did not dwell on Toby' s trauma but showed how it coloured his entire life, the way his mind worked. As a reader you could tell that his thinking was skewed, but you sympathized with him and with the other characters around him. The characters were never just black or white, and you got a chance to understand where everyone's "truth" was and that made it easier to connect with the characters.
Sean Cristen's narration was beautiful. Even though there were some parts where the character's voice sort of meshed together and it was hard to tell who was speaking, I still loved it. Your voice matched the tempo of the story and was soothing. Can you narrate a bunch of stories that we can fall asleep to? I hear there is a podcast like that, I would be one of your fans! I am one of your fans!

Just as amazing as the first time I read it!

Sexy, sensual and definitely a recommend listen, especially if you've read the series already!
I've finished reading the series, but I'm doing it à second time around, this time through audible and I'm really glad Ella choose Shannon Gunn for the narration. He truly beings these characters to life.

I just love Tate & Logan. I miss their story and now I get to hear it all over again.

Funny Book and very Heartwarming

It's easy to like this book and Stefen's character (I'm hoping I spelt his name right). It's also not hard to like the two main characters getting together and the family and how funny Char' s character is. I really liked this story, it was an easy-going listen. I did want the reader to not sound like he was reading the story from a book. He's the narrator and for most of the non-speaking parts, it seemed as if he just wanted to get it over and done with. Was there a time limit on the book?

The story was not thin but kinda clichéd.

I guess when they said hot and steamy they meant for s** only. Was this an erotic novel? If it was, the most important voice of Sebastian York was missing at all the juicy parts!
I have a major problem with the way these books are voiced! You have both voices for the male and female characters, why can't they ACTUALLY voice they parts for the speaking parts? I understand that the author has the chapters separated into the 2 main character's voices, however, why fake the other character's voice when you have the ACTUAL voice there? Hearing the female voice actor TRY to voice the male character (especially Sebastian York's voice) is a disservice to us the listeners!!!! (and vice versa).

This is my thoughts after finally finishing this audible:
I am no longer an idealist so I couldn't connect with the female lead character, and even after understanding what led the male lead character to act such as he did, I couldn't forgive how badly he treated the women in his life. It feels like the typical Mills&Bloom formula: male arrogant jerk and innocent inexperienced female lead. This was the reason I never liked romance novels. And it wasn't funny enough to offset all the arrogance in the room.

Home Alone meets Ender's Game

I loved the little touches of humour mixed with the suspense. I almost wished I could have seen how his family, especially his older brothers would have reacted to the new development that their brother is now a hero.
The story felt like it borrowed ideas from The Passenger, Home Alone and Ender's Game to create not only the mindset of tje main character, but the campiness of the villains. I still enjoyed it and couldn't stop listening, so I finished it in one night!

An excellent way to "re-read" Ender's Game!

This was amazing! I really got every nuance of the book that, after reading Ender's Game twice, there were things that were enlightening after listening to this audible book. This is 1000 times better than the movie which did not do the book justice. I'm glad that I got this.
