Historia
As our holistic view of the world grows and we become more aware of personal and collective energy, our level of perception is transforming from something singular - the physical form - to a greatly expanded awareness that includes intuition, past and present, right and left brain, and heart and body. As our perceptive ability evolves, we must unlearn and relearn the principles of how we live, create, and grow in order to be successful in the rapidly transforming reality of the Intuition Age.

Narrator is terrible for this book...
Revisado: 05-11-14
Narrator is terrible for this book...Probably fine for a story, but VERY distracting for a more science-like, detailed book such as this. Her cutesy use of pauses and attempts at intimacy are off putting. I'm usually very forgiving of narrators, but I find myself either drifting off and not caring about the text or wanting to strangle the narrator. Stop being cute and read the damn book!

Historia
Dr. Rupert Sheldrake, one of the world's most innovative scientists, here shows the ways in which science is being constricted by assumptions that have, over the years, hardened into dogmas. Such dogmas are not only limiting, but dangerous for the future of humanity. According to these principles, all of reality is material or physical; the world is a machine, made up of inanimate matter; nature is purposeless; consciousness is nothing but the physical activity of the brain; free will is an illusion; and God exists only as an idea in human minds.

Dear Science: Put up or shut up.
Revisado: 12-15-12
Sheldrake lays out the strongest and most logical confrontation of assumed science dogma to date. He doesn't claim to have ALL answers, but he clearly identifies many huge holes in the hyper-materialist perspectives, then proposes alternate possibilities, which are unified by an overarching theory. This book is complex, rich in detail, and historically expansive and instructive. Throughout, the histories and the threads of current scientific thought are laid out, giving the reader/listener an exceptionally lucid understanding of current debates and perspectives.
One caveat: If you have made up your mind (as one reviewer clearly has), this book will infuriate you. Fair warning: This book is for strong, open minds only.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Simply fantastic, with superb narration.
Revisado: 03-16-12
Exceptionally good. Extraordinarily well drawn characters. Many deeply moving and affecting moments. Narrator is spot on, with a wide range of expression and dialects. For me, there is only one brief period where the story slowed a bit...recovery after a beating. Still, even that sets up contrast with the high drama and pacing of the action that soon follows.
