Historia
For 30 years, On Becoming Babywise has been the de facto newborn parenting manual for naturally synchronizing your baby's feeding time, waketime, and nighttime sleep cycles, so the whole family can sleep through the night. In his fourth decade as a licensed pediatrician, Dr. Robert Bucknam, along with co-author Gary Ezzo, demonstrates how order and stability are mutual allies of every newborn's metabolism, and how parents can take advantage of these biological propensities.

Good but...
Revisado: 07-03-20
Read prior reviews about the music being distracting or “too loud” I didn’t feel that way at all, also the commentary was a nice addition. I’d say The Story is great as an quick rundown or reminder of the stories told in the Bible, but it in no way is a substitution for the Actual Scripture. There are a lot of missing parts and somethings that should have been went over in greater detail were not...which I found disappointing. I really liked the how well the Old Testament was put together! Such a great reminder of the almighty power and mercy of our Creator.....I kept thinking about it in the way that a child wants to only eat candy when the parent knows they need nourishment to grow. Yet, the New Testament could have been told much better in my opinion...I felt like it lacked emphasis on what Christ did by dying on the cross for our sins. Sure it was biblically accurate but I just thought it could have been told in a more thought provoking way. Nevertheless, worth listening to.

Yet, ultimately, his is a story of fierce love and family loyalty told in a raw, poetic voice that signals the emergence of a uniquely gifted writer.

It took me a few hours of listening before I got into this story. Perhaps I didn’t give enough time to absorb the last book before beginning this one. Whatever the case, my end feelings towards this story is that it’s a true testament of how beauty can come from ashes.

I never wanted it to end!
Revisado: 06-12-20
I was hesitant to read this book based on the reviews . I feel like “paedophilia” is a strong word to use in describing the relationship between the main characters because it cased me to constantly be preparing myself for something unimaginable. Honestly, anyone who has delt with or been a witness to these types of circumstances will see the story line from a different perspective.
With that being said this book made me feel every emotion! I laughed, I got angry & my heart hurt from one paragraph to the next....Incredibly written I didn’t want it to end!! The narration was fantastic, you honestly can’t stop thinking about these characters.
I’ll be listening to it again.

Historia
On March 25, 1942, nearly a thousand young, unmarried Jewish women boarded a train in Poprad, Slovakia. Filled with a sense of adventure and national pride, they left their parents' homes wearing their best clothes and confidently waving good-bye. Believing they were going to work in a factory for a few months, they were eager to report for government service. Instead, the young women - many of them teenagers - were sent to Auschwitz. Their government paid 500 Reich Marks (about $200) apiece for Nazis to take them as slave labor. Of those 999 innocent deportees, only a few survived.

I have had an interests in the holocaust since I was a child with neighbors who were survivors. The details in this book are so captivating! You honestly won’t want to stop listening! The importance of continuing these women’s lives and all of the lives who were impacted by this time period are beyond important. Highly recommend this book!
