Historia
Pastor and bestselling author Greg Laurie was one of those fortunate few blessed with an insider’s view of Billy Graham’s world for more than two decades. With the same painstaking research and eye for detail that distinguishes his previous biographies, Steve McQueen: Salvation of an American Icon and Johnny Cash: The Redemption of an American Icon, Laurie now turns to the life of his beloved mentor, offering the intimate perspective of a disciple and friend.

A Great Biography
Revisado: 10-09-24
This comes at a somewhat surprising gift but this is definitely one of the best biographies that I have ever read. When I selected this it was presumed to be good indeed but it far surpassed that. It was great. Highly recommended.

Historia
America's Constitutional Republic is like no other. Most Americans recognize the names George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison, but few can tell you their stories—much less that of James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, or Andrew Jackson. These seven men from the Founding Ear were America's first presidents. They established our republic on the foundation of the Constitution and its liberties.

This book accurately gives the reader a historical account of the first five presidents really in depth, although there are seven presidents all accurately covered. It’s so nice to get a real intimate view of the presidents that shaped this great nation. Read it you will not be disappointed.

Historia
Alisa Childers never thought she would question her Christian faith. She was raised in a Christian home, where she had seen her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, and love the outcast. She had witnessed God at work and then had dedicated her own life to leading worship as part of the popular Christian band ZOEgirl. All that was deeply challenged when she met a progressive pastor who called himself a hopeful agnostic. Another Gospel? describes the intellectual journey Alisa took over several years as she wrestled with a series of questions.

The author explains her search for God. She thought that she knew Him as so very many people do but discovered that her faith wasn’t built on a firm foundation. Through a very thorough search she finds God and He is so much more than the sand He was first built upon. A rock.

Historia
God's peace, his shalom, can penetrate every aspect of your life - spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Although the word shalom appears 550 times in the Scriptures and was a constant theme in Jesus' teachings, it is a neglected topic today. As a result, God's peace has been elusive to so many followers of Jesus. This book charts a course of shalom for you!

Johnston was so to the point with his writing. It gave me so much confidence and helped me with friends problems that I didn’t know how to help. It showed me that I did have what they were asking for. Compassionate care.

Wow! I am so pleased that I made through the necessary laying out the premise. The startup is rather wordy and seemed meaningless but hold on because it is not. The book is worth the “read” by every Christian.

Historia
On account of the superficial points of agreement between Islam and Christianity, many don't see how tremendously deep the divides between them really are, and fewer still have considered the evidence for each faith. How is jihad different from the Crusades? Can we know the life of Jesus as well as the life of Muhammad? What reason is there to believe in one faith over the other, and what difference can the Gospel really make?

He was very convincing in his telling of his former Muslim faith and the history of the text being as unbiased as possible. It’s a great book for those who wish to speak to Muslims about their faith in Jehovah God.

Historia
For centuries, skeptics have disputed the claims of Christianity—such as belief in an eternal God and the resurrection of Jesus Christ—arguing that they simply cannot be accepted by reasonable individuals. Furthermore, efforts to demonstrate the evidence and rational basis for Christianity through apologetics are often deemed too simplistic to be taken seriously in intellectual circles. Apologist and theoretical chemist Neil Shenvi engages some of the best contemporary arguments against Christianity.

I enjoyed it but there are far better books that lay out the historical background of the church and the key people. It was okay and his very thick accent was a bit to overcome although very interesting.
