Narrator is SO BAD.. I’m buying the paperback

I never..ever do this. But goodness. The male narrators British accent is so bad! And he doesn’t even give Dante an Italian accent! It’s soooo distracting. Yes, I read reviews before buying the audio, but I thought.. it can’t be that bad. OHHH was I wrong. In this instance… you should listen to the reviews. Buy the paperback and read it with the voices in your own head!

This was exhausting. Wanted to like it.

Took me weeks to try and listen to this.. finally shut it off. I'm sorry but I really wanted to like this, I'm a fan of this author. But goodness. This book would have half the word count without all of the texting to's, from's, ps., pss., Book could have been really great. Anyway. Sorry. It takes a lot to write a book, but shooting for larger word count, this book would have been half the size without all of the repeat words in every phrase it felt like. I won't be buying the next book.

A true love finally found

It’s a wonderful feeling when true love finally finds its way into a heart. Wonderful sequel to the Exchange. So glad that Desiree found her happily ever after but true my a shocking and creepy ending to Justin’s story.

Wonderful Gamble of Love

It sometimes takes heartbreak to open your eyes to finding love. This story has a fluid blend of love at all ages with a young surgeon taking an adventure on a cruise ship to Mexico with an elderly ladies group to escape the loss of her patient. All she wants to do is hide away and read novels in her cabin. But, she can’t hide her attraction for a mysterious poker player. The hilarious interaction with the elderly ladies and the dramatic connection between Kelly and Julien, make this a very quick and enjoyable listen. The dramatic ending is a twist you’ll want to read again.

Twists in this Mysterious Romance

This is a very deep mystery that keeps you turning the pages to see what will happen next. The ending is a complete twist that wasn’t expected. The slow beginning hits the peek and you’ll be glad you invested the time. Great paranormal aspect that keeps you guessing.

Overall entertaining

Aside from the narrative skipping anything having to do with NATO’s/US’s encroachment toward the Russian border with nuclear arms in violation of the Warsaw Pact playing a part in Russia’s paranoia of a preemptive nuclear strike against them, it was pretty good.
I guess, considering current geopolitical events, it isn’t surprising it was left out.

This is NOT up to standards set in previous books

I only downloaded this because book 8 made so many references not covered in book 7, I thought my download of book 8 was a mistake.
This entire production could’ve been covered in one or two chapters at the end of book 7, or beginning of 8.
To my great disappointment, I’m 45 minutes in and no longer allowed to return the title.
Buyer beware. As a stand-alone, this installment is enough to put a person off the entire series.

This was a very interesting story! Some of it was "yeah..I saw that coming" and other parts were totally not! Ending was perfect.. made me cry.

AS A FELLOW AUSTRALIAN EXCHANGE STUDENT IN 1989...

I found this interesting to listen to... I also was an exchange student to Australia in 1989 and had a similar experience with a crazy first host family and had to move on to a new family. How weird. Same year... took me back to being 18 and what a crazy ride.
It's a very interesting life he has lead. I enjoy all of his movies and sometimes its the fame that makes us feel that actors are not human. But this lets you know that he's just a guy who took those chances and fought for what he wanted. Life is life, and you make your own choices to succeed or fail.
I don't really know of anyone who would turn down a 14.5 million dollar paycheck for a couple months of work though. But.. looks like writing was where he wanted to be all along anyway in life.
