Historia
The Kentuckiana Dog Show Cluster is not to be missed. Ellie Gates Wanamaker, a former standard poodle exhibitor and a member of a well-heeled Kentucky family, has been out of the dog show world for more than a decade, but when Melanie invites her to spectate at the Louisville Kennel Club dog show, she's eager to accompany her. Miss Ellie's presence at the expo center, however, provokes mixed reactions from exhibitors she hasn't seen in years, including some outright animosity. The following day Melanie learns that Miss Ellie has suffered a fatal accident while exercising her dogs.

Terrible narrator
Revisado: 02-28-21
I looked forward to this book with the side trip to the horse racing world but this narrator made listening very tedious. The only character whose voice differed from the monotonous tone was little Kevin. Everyone else sounded alike making it difficult to follow who was speaking to whom.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE NARRATOR!
Revisado: 08-14-16
What would have made Murder, She Barked better?
A narrator who knows how to read, interpret characters
Who was your favorite character and why?
I'm not sure because the narration was so bad.
How could the performance have been better?
Narrator was whiny, like a screeching mouse.
What character would you cut from Murder, She Barked?
I'm not sure because the narration was so bad.
Any additional comments?
I've enjoyed Krista Davis' novels. Looked forward to this new series but OMG, Jeanie Kanaly totally ruined it. I think there's a good storyline in there, but with Kanaly's narration, I had to keep rewinding the book. She gave me a headache with every chapter.

Thumbs up Goldie! Thumbs DOWN Cherry
Revisado: 02-02-09
I'm new to Diane Mott Davidson, and I am loving her books! I find them light, fun and refreshing. OTOH, I find Cherry Jones' narration extremely difficult and unnerving to listen to. Like fingernails over a blackboard. A true disappointment, I have to force myself to just get through the several hours left in Prime Cut. There are 3 more Mott Davidson Audiobooks narrated by Cherry Jones. I will not be wasting my money on the Jones' versions, and will buy print copies instead. The Barbara Rosenblat versions are professional, enjoyable, and very well done. Save your money or Audible credits for the Rosenblat narrations, and don't waste it on the Cherry Jones mangling of the Goldie tales. This audible book just sets my nerves on edge. A shame because Mott Davidson is an enjoyable & entertaining author who deserves better than this. Four stars to Diane Mott Davidson; 1 star for Jones.
