Historia
I'm just an ordinary guy . . . who feeds on sexual energy. I never knew my dad. Mom said he was a nice enough guy, fun for a night, but she never did get his name. I didn't miss him, and my life is good. Then a government agent shows up at my door and announces that I'm not really human. Dear old Dad was actually an incubus, a being that needs sexual energy to survive, and apparently that means I am too. Gotta be a scam, right?

Flirty and funny
Revisado: 01-10-24
Masters are amazing at writing funny sweet banter and stories where you never really know what will happen but it will be fun... kinda like Hellhounds, you are not really sure you have the energy for it but you will have a surprisingly good time.

Historia
My whole life, I thought dragons were majestic, wise, and fearsome creatures. Not to mention fictional. It's been less than a year since that last belief was debunked. Dragons are real, they're now living among us, and I'm the lucky realtor who gets to sell a house to their leader. I just have to impress his representative first. No problem—I'm a professional. Except the dragon rep turns out to be the guy I hooked up with last night, and he's fast disproving everything I believed about dragons. Unless "wise" actually means "addicted to glitter."

Historia
From Snuff: Vimes looked at the cover. The title was The World of Poo. When his wife was out of eyeshot he carefully leafed through it. Well, okay, you had to accept that the world had moved on and these days’ fairy stories were probably not going to be about twinkly little things with wings. As he turned page after page, it dawned on him that whomever had written this book, they certainly knew what would make kids like Young Sam laugh until they were nearly sick. The bit about sailing down the river almost made him smile.

Not what I expected but wonderful
Revisado: 07-03-23
I frankly love Terry Pratchett's Disc-world series it is hard to have a longer conversation with me with at least a small quote slipping in to the conversation and I have someone that definitely fits the target audience for this book, so I wanted to listen to it make sure and well it is hard to anticipate where Pratchett will take the journey what are granted it will be an interesting journey that will be enjoyable and if you are inclined to reflect and think it will give you food for thoughts.

Historia
Pop into the unguarded apartment, find the multimillion-dollar Treskilling stamp, pop back out. That’s it, that’s the entirety of Ivan’s plan. What’s not part of the plan? Meeting the cute Aiden Stalworth, feeling guilty about trying to steal from the cute Aiden Stalworth, becoming Aiden’s “Robin Hood” and buying him all the things, playing bodyguard while searching for the stamp, and being trusted completely by Aiden. Ivan very quickly realizes he needs a new plan: seduce Aiden, protect him, find the stamp—and lick him. Licking Aiden needs to be part of the plan too.

Good combo of author and narrators.
Revisado: 05-11-23
I love Sherwood's sweet, humorous and light while including darkness.
Still their could be a bit more editing both on the performance (a few time I'm pretty sure a lines are read with the wrong voice). And a time where I get jarred out of the scene by a detail i either missed or forgotten... still I'm nitpicking because I enjoy Sherwood's stories so well, and Toma and Amato always deliver so gripping narration.
The thing is for the most time the details that I often gets hung up over with Sherwood's writing are details that either can have several descriptors so it's quite likely even with one character choosing a few different that are not necessarily indicative the same mental image on their own but together actually gives a more full image. Usually in literature we acknowledge quite unnatural often that we used another word that definitely can be used but can mean something different.
Like a colour if the shade are a in between a few different words can be used without the shade described changing.
Another are time descriptive where as vague as we humans often are a time can be described half a year that was two months to almost a year because our time memory often are quite loose. And in literature this can be a bit annoying since the timeline can feel muddled but at the same time it is a more natural way of talking and thinking for the characters.
Well this become more general comments about where Sherwood sometimes do in my mind unexpected editing choices. I have read quite a few of Sherwood's series's and love them all a lot regularly rereading them. The world and character building I just can't get enough. And that is kinda the beautiful thing what ever book or series I feel like the story are complete but still has the potential to be explored more. Sherwood has the neck of tying things together whilst still making me want to come back for more and more.
And I love the way their often are a character or two that could be read as neurodivergent if one wants to relate in that manner.
And on that point I really like Sherwood's diverse stiles pure fantasy, more close to urban fantasy and this series with a temporary setting. So nitpicking because a fan.

Sweet and funny.
Revisado: 12-17-22
This is the third series of A J Sherwood I have started and so far I love this one as much as both "Legends of Lobe den Herren" and "Jon's Mysteries" each series are totally different but they have a similar sense of witty humour in different ways. Some action and somewhat different people build connections with other people in a really sweet way, whilst trouble are a foot, or try to interfere.
So yes I really adore A J Sherwood's books.

Historia
It’s not exactly what I’d call the ideal situation - being introduced to your bio-dad’s best mate only to realize he’s the sexy older guy you hooked up with a couple of weeks ago - but it’s also not the worst thing to ever happen in history. The way I see it, this is fate. The universe is throwing Shay Kelly in my path again because it knows how much I’ve been dying for another shag with him.

Hilarious and sweet somewhat geeky in the best of ways
Revisado: 08-21-22
Isla Olsen Hilarious as usual, a great book in this series. I'm sorry to say I the first time around I thought it was a bit of a spoiler in the epilogue the to the point I was scared to read the epilogues of the later books until I read the 7th book. The second time around I would say it felt like I over reacted and was overly cations. This is a book and a book series that will be on my repeat reading shelf. Even though I ranted for weeks over Michael Dean's pronunciation of Dalek... Weeks, Doctor Who fan or not romance reader or not, everyone around me for weeks got to hear about my frustration. And I still want to listen to it again and again that's how good it is for an uplifting sweet, naughty and fun.

Historia
Do you believe in love at first sight? Paul Auster doesn't. Paul doesn't believe in much at all. He's thirty, slightly overweight, and his best features are his acerbic wit and the color commentary he provides as life passes him by. His closest friends are a two-legged dog named Wheels and a quasibipolar drag queen named Helena Handbasket. He works a dead-end job in a soul-sucking cubicle, and if his grandmother's homophobic parrot insults him one more time, Paul is going to wring its stupid neck.

A beautiful hilarious train wreck, worth reading.
Revisado: 08-01-22
It's a beautiful train wreck. Hilarious and sweet, you will probably need to put it down several times some time for laughing so hard, sometimes for cringing equally hard. But you will soon pick it up again. The more you read the more you like it.
