terrible reader, boring book

The reader was robotic, monotone, and seemed to do his best to make the story a shamble. I've listened to many of the other Berserker books and enjoyed the stories and narration very much. it seems the latter books in the series are more contrived efforts, and certainly lower quality. This reader made listening to this a real effort, and a total disappointment. The long pauses in between almost each sentence is very distracting and annoying. I wish I'd taken the time to read the reviews before my purchase, but my other experiences with the series were so much better I just downloaded it expecting the same quality. BIG MISTAKE!

If you like the "Berserker" series, if you like "Ender's Game", if you like any freakin' science fiction at all, you have got to read this book! I am a huge skeptic when it comes to new sci-fi, I like to stick to my Asimov, Heinlein, and Card, but I took a risk. For the love of God and all that is holy, take this risk!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed my ass off, the subtle references to old books and some pop culture where tasteful and spot on, and I couldn't have loved it any more than I do!
