A Thought-Provoking Sci-Fi Journey
Revisado: 03-27-25
Cloud Hands – The Disclosure Files, Book 1 is an intriguing blend of science fiction, conspiracy, and action that kept me captivated from start to finish. Nancy J. Nelson weaves a compelling story around Vicki Heywood, a diplomat on leave, who stumbles into a world of hidden knowledge, extraterrestrial influence, and the untapped potential of humanity. The mix of real-world mysteries and futuristic speculation makes this book both engaging and thought-provoking.
The narration by Kerie Darner is exceptional—her delivery flows effortlessly between characters, bringing depth and clarity to the story. Her tone and pacing enhance the immersive experience, making the audiobook even more enjoyable.
For those who love intelligent sci-fi with a philosophical edge, Cloud Hands is a must-read. I can’t wait to see where the next book in The Disclosure Files takes us!

A medical thriller that seems a bit too real!
Revisado: 01-29-25
The Last Plague by Dawn C. Crouch is a gripping medical thriller that takes unexpected turns, keeping listeners on edge. Despite what the title might suggest, this isn’t a typical doomsday zombie story. Instead, it follows pathologist Dr. Avit Arceneaux, who is part of a research team developing a vaccine that promises eternal life. Set in a world where cloning is routine and medical ethics are pushed to the limit, Dr. Arceneaux must navigate a deadly global plague—one unleashed by his own boss, the surgeon general, as a means of population control. Packed with suspense, twists, and high stakes, this story leaves you eager to see what’s next for Dr. Arceneaux.
Dawn C. Crouch brings the scenes to life with vivid descriptions, making the story feel immersive and real. Daena Schweiger’s narration is skillfully executed, effortlessly shifting between characters, though the pacing felt a bit slow at times—I found myself speeding it up for a smoother experience.
A must-listen for fans of medical thrillers who enjoy action, intrigue, and thought-provoking ethical dilemmas!

What a start to what promises to be a great series
Revisado: 01-10-25
I originally thought that this was going to be another ordinary fantasy audiobook... I was wrong!
Tales of Witches and Wyverns by S. Ramsey does a great job at setting up the scenes, the characters and their backgrounds.
The story follows Enid, who just turned 16, and her world is turned upside down when her best friend Dylan gets taken away by Malagant in a magical way in front of her. Enid grows so much in character throughout this story especially when she decided to go into this completely different world, which she knows nothing about, to save Dylan.
This audio books does an amazing job at describing every detail of this new world, the fae realm, its inhabitants, the different mythical creatures and their characteristics, the witches and their magic, and how all this is somehow interconnected with Enid's world.
Kim Pruitt does a great job at narrating this audiobook, by changing tones for different characters and creatures, changing accents for humans and for setting the mood for the whole audio book.
I would highly recommend this audiobook.

Practical and Informative, yet not overwhelming!
Revisado: 09-23-24
What would you do if everything was down? How would you survive? Better yet, would you be able to survive after being so pampered with everything ready? I know my answer would be No: I am not ready and wouldn't know how to survive.
Luckily I got this audiobook that explains the survival steps and how to prepare for them in a nice yet not overwhelming way. This is not a theoretical audiobook as the author, Phoenix Macloed, is writing based on his personal experience.
The narration was great as it was done in a smooth yet assertive way.
I would highly recommend this audiobook to anyone looking to enhance their survival skills.

What a great baseball player!
Revisado: 07-27-24
Do you know all the baseball hall-of-famers? Did we miss anyone that should’ve been inducted? According to the author Gary Williams, and after extensive research, it seems that Fred “Cy” Williams was one of the greatest to ever play this game. He takes us through all the great things, failures and successes that Cy experienced during his 19 years with the Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies; having been there in 2 different baseball eras: from using a dead ball to a live ball in games. In parallel, we get a glimpse of the growth of baseball as a game.
This audiobook came to life thanks to the great delivery of the narrator Ward Paxton; although a bit slow for my taste, he did a great job setting the mood and conveying Cy’s experience.
A nicely written and performed audiobook that I would recommend to any baseball fan.

Humor is the best part of baseball. To survive a long season, the everyday schedule, and the failure that is inherent in the game people have always needed a good laugh about a ballgame from time to time. The stories in Baseball Humor: A Collection of Stories by Master Storytellers poke good fun at the struggles, ambition, greed, romance, envy, wisdom, and quirks of the players, managers, wives, and fans. Included are “The Pitcher and the Plutocrat” by P G Wodehouse, “Horseshoes” and “Alibi Ike” by Ring Lardner, “The Red-Headed Outfield” and “The Rube” by Zane Gray, and many others.

Nostalgic and Funny Baseball history!
Revisado: 07-11-24
It’s not always easy to imagine a time when baseball was really America’s favorite sport. Ward Paxton, through this ebook, reminds us of an era where Baseball was truly great; not because of the huge contracts the players are currently receiving, but because of a pure love of the game!
I grew up watching baseball from time to time (not following it fanatically)… The short stories collected by Ward Paxton don’t focus on the players and their feats but on their inside humor and anecdotes.
The narration, also by Paxton, is nothing short of amazing as he can masterfully make it easy to follow the storyline, feel the humor in the situations, and guide you throughout this ebook.
At the end, it doesn’t really matter if you’re a current or previous baseball fan to really enjoy this ebook as it wasn’t really written for just the fans; if you’re a sports fan, a baseball fan, or just anyone looking for some good old humor, this book is highly recommended.

Very Informative for Women!
Revisado: 06-06-24
As someone who did intermittent fasting for 3 years and saw its benefits without scientifically knowing what was working and what wasn't, I was interested in this ebook for my wife who was thinking about intermittent fasting especially being in pre-menopausal. This ebook is filled with information especially for woman looking to start intermittent fasting during menopause and managing its symptoms.
Although the ebook is a great guide for women, it wasn't great to hear as after every sentence, the narrator was mentioning the reference being cited... Which became super annoying and took away from the information being presented. The narrator herself wasn't great in her delivery and pronunciation.
Although the performance was not great, I would still recommend this ebook for any woman interested in managing menopause symptoms and her weight through intermittent fasting.
