Historia
If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed. On May 17, 2014, Admiral William H. McRaven addressed the graduating class of the University of Texas at Austin on their Commencement day. Taking inspiration from the university's slogan, "What starts here changes the world," he shared the ten principles he learned during Navy Seal training that helped him overcome challenges not only in his training and long Naval career, but also throughout his life; and he explained how anyone can use these basic lessons to change themselves - and the world - for the better.

Meh

I think this was supposed to be motivational. It was redundant and very patriotic. I wasn’t inspired or motivated. The making of the bed reference fell short. The voice/narration works because it’s a US soldier perspective.

Straight forward & to the point (nothing new here)
Revisado: 10-30-19
I love that this listen is only 47 minutes and costs under $3. I also appreciate the specific definitions, explanations and data given throughout the book to reinforce/strengthen the book's points. The steps are very clear. It was easy to take notes. My only gripe is that the steps are pretty obvious--eating right, getting rest, etc. These are things that a "health conscious" person is already doing...but this book is a good reminder to fortify one's efforts.

Intelligent & clever
Revisado: 10-23-19
This is my first exposure to Dr Tyson. I found his approach to answering the letters of fans and foes to be very entertaining. His responses were very clever, informational, intelligent and I opening. I love that they were also scientifically based. I appreciated the book being read specifically by him in his own voice as well as, the different voices for the people who wrote him letters.
