Previous books gave insights to the conflict in the mid-east. Nothing to be learned from this book, it is just another murder mystery.

Interesting history, but yet too opinionated for conclusions to be taken seriously. With regard to conclusions, The authors are too dogmatic For the conclusions to be accepted as the ultimate solution.

I almost overlooked the book because, from the title, i assumed it was a “women’s book” - it is worth reading.

Should be read by all who have wondered how the Socratic method of teaching can be used in public education today - it requires a huge commitment and hard work from both students and parents

For those who grew up on the right side of the tracks, this is coming of age story about those who grew up on the wrong side,. Very insightful in explaining some of our social problems today.

Fascinating revisiting of problems with the national Institute of health and the Kennedy assassination that explain problems we have today. Or the problems we encounter without transparency.

In today’s culture, I have a standard, that I only listen to things with happy endings, while the story does not have a happy ending, I’m still glad I listen to it.

How a cowardly child maturates into a semi-heroic father.

Historia

Revisado: 02-29-24

Coming of age story that describes the fear of every father, the maturation of a cowardly child. The Basic part of the story takes place in the Afghanistan of the 1970s and 80s and describes the Muslim culture of the time. When the troubles in Afghanistan started, the family moved to Southern California and their integration with American culture explored.

It is a must read for every high school student, studying, civics, or social studies. It is a depressing (I almost put it down two or three times) but ultimately uplifting story.

For civilians to partly understand the horrors of war

Revisado: 11-18-23

The book partly describes, from the eyes of children, the dangers of allowing a country to treat a group of its citizens as second-class citizens. And partly describes to civilians the horrors of a war fought to subjugate those people. While It was written, in the time of World War II, describing the conflict of Nazis and Jews, it could also describe the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine, as well as Israel and Hamas. Food for thought for our current generation, which is enlarge part, lacking a historic perspective.
