Mostly insufferable main character
Revisado: 04-21-25
This was hard to get through. The main character is a whiny boring man and the other characters are undeveloped. The story was just ok. But I did finish it, so …

Historia
When a Tyrannosaurus rex suffers pain from meat trapped between its enormous teeth, a nearby colony of ants risks entering the great creature's maw to make their own repast from the remains of the dinosaur's most recent meal. From this humble beginning, over the course of millennia, a symbiotic civilization achieves amazing advances, facing dangers and exploiting opportunities at every turn.

Anthropomorphizing and unimaginable
Revisado: 04-15-25
An interesting premise. However, if you are imagining two different intelligent races, why give them the same motivations and characteristics of humans? Dinosaurs and ants have completely different evolutionary histories and would develop cultures based on those things. Dinosaur reproduction and child rearing is completely different and would shape an alien society as would a hive-living ants. This story was more of a commentary on worker/robber baron type societies than an imaginative journey to the Cretaceous. Too bad

Bamboozled
Revisado: 03-03-25
Are you kidding? I sat through 18 hours for zero science fiction. What a terrible let down of a story. If you want any interesting sci-fi first contact content, pass on this one. Literally nothing happens.

Historia
Like an avenging, purple-haired Jedi bringing balance to the mansplained universe, Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project—a literal dream come true after years scraping by on the crumbs of academia—Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward.

Tedious lead
Revisado: 02-28-24
Just read her Bride book and wanted another interesting female lead. This one is absolutely not it. She’s dense, insecure and predictable. I do enjoy the general ideas of these characters though as scientists, but otherwise this one is a flop

Historia
When Martha Einkorn fled her father’s isolated compound in Oregon, she never expected to find herself working for a powerful social media mogul hell-bent on controlling everything. Now, she’s surrounded by mega-rich companies designing private weather, predictive analytics, and covert weaponry, while spouting technological prophecy. Martha may have left the cult, but if the apocalyptic warnings in her father’s fox and rabbit sermon—once a parable to her—are starting to come true, how much future is actually left?

Slow and then anticlimactic
Revisado: 11-28-23
I do enjoy a positive apocalypse story but this was a slow burn to a fizzle. There were parts in the middle where I almost gave up that it was interesting enough to finish. But overall… meh.

Main character is a horrible person
Revisado: 04-01-23
This book was well done except the main character is a horrible selfish jerk. She breaks the love interests stuff and doesn’t apologize and several times accuses him of horrible things without evidence. Yet he forgives her? Bill. She is the worst and I didn’t listen to the last hour because I didn’t want to hear her happy ending.

Absolutely boring
Revisado: 04-25-22
I am confused by these great reviews. This book is absolutely tedious and moves incredibly slow. The characters have no depth and are boring. Its only worth the return for another credit. Skip it.

Simply put, intermittent fasting (IF) is the practice of restricting your mealtimes to certain times or days of the week. So, rather than slogging it out at the gym for hours, all you’ll need to do is just switch up your mealtimes. Sounds simple doesn’t it? Well, it really is. Extensively researched and backed by the latest scientific findings, this audiobook provides you with everything you need to know to win your battle of the bulge.

Historia
The man on the moon was dead. They called him Charlie. He had big eyes, abundant body hair, and fairly long nostrils. His skeletal body was found clad in a bright red spacesuit, hidden in a rocky grave. They didn’t know who he was, how he got there, or what had killed him. All they knew was that his corpse was 50 thousand years old - and that meant this man had somehow lived long before he ever could have existed.

Revisado: 09-23-20
You cannot rewrite the history of the history of the solar system and call it science fiction. Do not get if you have any background in science, it’s just terrible. In addition, there are No characters or story development. I’m lucky this was free.
