Great listen, plots, action, and detail
Revisado: 09-13-24
I was pleasantly surprised listening to this book. I work out on a stationary bicycle 90 minutes a day, and have an easier workout when listening to good books. Each chapter has different cases, intriguing and keeping me guessing how the main character, Holister, is going to solve them. I live in Long Beach, Ca, which I can relate to many of the places Holister goes - Griffith Park, Angeles Forest, and Los Angeles area.
Sharpe's character names was unique and fun to hear because some were a play on words like a driver's name "Wheeler," a porn character "Steve N. Doud" (you have to say it to get it),
Not any sex or gore, but plenty of clean story telling.
The narrator did a great job, giving appropriate character voices, intonations, and making every word clear.
I look forward to his next book.

Historia
He used to be on the bomb squad, but it's not until he transfers out that Chris Mankowski really begins juggling with dynamite. Rape and revenge are just the tip of the iceberg in a twisty tale that brings Detroit's denizens to life - and occasional death - in all their seedy glory. Electrifying, explosive, and unexpected, this is Elmore Leonard at his suspenseful best.

The voice acting for the different black and white and women characters was great. As usual Elmar presented a page turning story.

Bad annunciation, and or clarity in the reading.
Revisado: 12-20-22
After five minutes, I decided this was not going to be pleasant to listen to trying to understand the annunciation. I gave up.
