I've been waiting for Rosa's story and to see her paired with the Santos her adopted brother is amazing. The love she's felt for him her whole life after he was adopted, to imagine he returns that same love, a forbidden love between a "brother and sister". This audiobook brings to life their story, their struggles and their love for each other. Rosa holds the title of Ice Princess. She's now free to feel the emotions of her heart. They are away from prying eyes where we see the secrets they've kept hidden from the world and each other take over. Will they be strong enough to comfort their family with their strong connect and love. A great love story come to life in this audible book!

After his parents died he declared that he would never love again nor would he use his mystical gifts. His advisors keep harassing him to marry dragging prospects from across the Highlands. He settle on a Sinclair lass, one who is “touched” and totally innocent and would be the perfect wife for him. Ciara, on the other hand is an immortal whose been sent to seduce a brooding mortal and bear the man a gifted child and after seven years disappear from their lives. Therein lies the problem, Faolan doesn’t want to be seduced and have a wife, especially the seductress he envisions Ciara to be. Nobody ignores Ciara and against his better judgment, he’s becomes enthralled with the woman. This is a story is enchanting to see these two strong and powerful personalities interact with each other, we watch as their love blooms in this story filled with mystery and romance, but is it a love to last a lifetime? This is my honest opinions after I voluntarily read a copy of this book that was provided to me with no requirements for a review.

She grew up with no friends, no woman to teach her, so she was raised her to be a warrior.
After the marriage she wants to be a good wife, but she doesn’t know how. It was so touching to see how much patience Troy had with a wife he never wanted. Rhoswyn seemed to bloom as the story went under Troy’s guidance and patience to teach her. She realized Troy is a good man and warrior and wants to please in every way, if only she can. Troy knows she is slowly starting to fill his empty heart and soul with meaning again, but he cannot love or care for another the heartache he could endure is too over whelming to even bear thinking about. A great love story filled with adventure, passion and a love to last a life time. What did you love best about The Ward's Bride?

A new author with a great beginning in her first novella. Sir Adam Dayne, an English knight, is offered a prize that can't be refused. He gains his own castle if he marries and accepts a betrothal to the Scottish Marcher warden’s beautiful. Lady Cora Maxwell hates everything English, including the self-assured new lord and husband. Lady Cora thought she’s have time to convince her Adam that they would not suit, but instead they are married the day after she arrives. Cora provides Adam a proposal and if he accepts he will be in for the battle of wills with his new wife. Cora is forced to face her greatest fears and the burgeoning desire he has awakened in her.

What did you like best about this story?

A novella that delivers an excellent story of two people meeting for the first time, with different backgrounds and finding what they most need and desire, love and happiness.

Have you listened to any of Benedict Waring’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The Narrator Benedict Waring did an excellent job of narrating this audio book it simply came alive and was very enjoyable to listen to.

What did you love best about The Baron's Quest?

I really enjoyed Elizabeth Rose’s book, Baron’s Quest, this is a book about two people from different stations in life. We have Nicholas Vaughn who is a second son and a Baron of the Cinque Ports. Muriel Draper is a merchant’s daughter, she isn’t a peasant nor is she a noble woman. After Muriel’s father dies she and her brother Isaac are struggling to keep the home they have known and to keep the family business going. Muriel isn’t afraid to combat the men in charge, but with mounting debt they have fallen behind in their rents to Baron Nicholas Vaugh. Muriel is courageous and smart woman and knows she must do something before it’s too late. Nicholas takes the one thing Muriel has of value, her mother’s ring. Nicholas offers to let her work for him and earn her ring back. Nicholas and Muriel can’t fight the attraction to each other as they grow closer, but will their stations in life keep them apart. They work together to solve the mystery of the docks and possible find out that Muriel’s father was murdered. Will they make sacrifices to remain together or go their separate ways? Their lives are filled humor and a little steamy romance along the way to finding their happily ever after.

Any additional comments?

There's nothing better than listening to someone reading you a great book. The story comes to life as you listen to the different voices from the narrator.

Would you listen to Ruby again? Why?

Ruby Daughters of the Dagger is the first book in the first book by Elizabeth Rose I’ve read and the first in this medieval series. I wasn't disappointed. Ruby de Burgh is the first born of the four daughters of Earl Blackpool. Because of their mother’s superstition they were all named after the stones in daggers.
The first Daughter of the Dagger meets her match in the Lord of Death. There is a murder, mystery and humor that make for a great read. Ruby our heroine is a strong willed lady who acts more like a son than a daughter, she knows how to handle a sword and takes action when needed. I loved watching her bring the hero to heel and seeing her transformed by love. Our hero Lord Nyle of Sheffield is promised one of Earl Blackpool’s daughter’s; he needs a wife and wants one who can protect herself. Nyle needs a wife and so far he has lost the three he has had and is now running out of time. He intends to keep the next one and find the murder as well who he thinks lives within his castle. I loved Nyle and Ruby’s story of good versus evil and how two incredibly strong willed people learning to trust each other and finding their HEA.

Any additional comments?

I loved this audiobook the story comes to life with the narrator's voice.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Nancy Lee Badger has done it again with My Honorable Highlander. “Haven MacKay, gets more than she bargains for when her love spell goes awry, is cast back in time, and meets her true love -- Laird Kirkwall Gunn”. The book was hard for me to put down all Haven wants is her true love, someone who will love her for who she is. But I did not see why the she did not realize she was in a different time until half way of the way through the book, but that is for the book to tell us her background story. Haven can get herself into some predicaments and you wonder what is going to happen next. She comes across as a strong women. Kirk the Chief of his Clan takes Haven under his protection after he finds her. Kirk knows he needs to keep some distance from her; he’s a man of duty and he has already committed to marry someone else before he saw Haven in a vision. As they travel to Kirks castle Haven helps as a healer for some of his fallen men and their injuries and she slowly gets to know Kirk. As their relationship takes form she learns to trust him and give him her loyalty; but Kirk has secrets of his own. The characters were well-formed and the banter was amazing funny with intriguing storyline.
