Amazon had this listed as a 2 book series but man I should’ve known better! I thought it was safe to start but it ended on a huge cliffhanger and now I have to wait forever for the next one as the actual book isn’t even out let alone audio ;(
On a whole though the series is pretty good - interesting characters and storyline that I can’t wait to see through until the end.

This is a great story but the narration totally takes you out of it. The male narrators female voice is terrible but otherwise decent. The female narrator is pretty good though so listen at your own risk…

Unshackles narration is awful

I would HIGHLY recommend reading Unshackle as the narrators make this story an awful listening experience. The female narrator is supposed to be Latina and her attempt is subpar at best. The other two stories were great with top notch narration though so that’s why I gave it a 3 star review.

Not at all a fan of this story! Very weak heroine - the only reason I finished this one is because I’ve missed SebYo’s voice in my ears. Definitely not their best work.

Should've been two narrators!

This definitely should've been a dual narration! Would have been perfect if a female did Penelope's parts but instead it was a monotonous male voice for the entire almost 13 hours!!! Have no idea what people think when they are casting...
This is the start of a new series and Ms. Edwards first ever paranormal romance which is one of my favorite genres when done right. I went into this hoping I would love it like I do all of her work but there was a lot going on and it got confusing more than once which caused me to have to go back an listen to parts to try and figure out what exactly was going on. The only other issue I had was this book was very tame for Nicole and lacked the signature heat I have loved from her in the past therefore I felt while the main characters had chemistry it wasn't with the usual combustion she sets the pages on fire with.
Obsidian is an angel that protects humans from the demons of Lucifer. He along with his brothers learn that their soulmates are in danger after someone got ahold of a list that is supposed to be sacred. With only her name to go on he must find her somewhere in North America before Lucifer gets ahold of her.
Penelope moved to Las Vegas to be close to her brother and works nights as a cocktail waitress. She lives a rather lonely existence with only her best friend in Los Angeles to talk to until a giant beautiful man walks into her life and turns it upside down. Everything she thought only existed in her favorite books lurks around every dark corner and she has no idea what's coming next.

5 huge stars for - The Domina - the fifth and final book in the Ascension series by K.A. Linde.
I can’t tell you how absolutely fabulous Erin Mallon is for this series! She easily plays the part of 20 or more characters flawlessly and has you eating out of the palm of her hand!!! This is my favorite series by this narrator and is a true gem in Erin’s catalog of work!
This series must be listened to in order as the storyline is a masterpiece that flowed from the very first page to the final chapter. I have been enthralled with this series for years and it has held me in its grips until the very end, never once lagging or slowing down so I obviously can’t recommend it enough! There is truly something for everyone in this series - mystery, danger and suspense collide with beautiful imagery, laughter and a bit of romance too that flows effortlessly from all the characters you meet along the way. Even if you aren’t a fan of fantasy I urge you to give this one a try!
We pick up right where we left off with Cyrene in a even more dire situation than before and she will need to call on every ounce of her training and magic to fight the darkness. Everyone must choose between light and dark in this final epic battle. Lives will be lost and others will be saved!

With narrators like Andi and Sebastian you could give them the phone book and not have a problem selling it but hand them this and it's audio GOLD!!!
Drew Carson is a reporter who just took a job as the newest server at the Upper Ten. While deep under cover and in heavy makeup she makes it her mission to discover what happened to her father. She didn’t plan on being so captivated by her target -Cannon Freeman but nothing will stop her from learning the truth.
Cannon Freeman is the only child that mob boss - Dominic Casso doesn’t publicly claim yet he works tirelessly managing his most profitable legal business the Upper Ten. Cannon learned from a young age to never rock the boat but instead ensure that things run smoothly with Dominic. For years he has done whatever he was told to do no matter the cost but when Drew comes into his life his entire world may just start to change.
This story has everything we all love about Ms. March’s writing - a strong heroine coupled with a sexy/seductive hero and a storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Since this is a duet you know a cliffhanger is coming and boy is this one rough.

This one picks up right after the ending in two and Natalie vows to make those who wronged her pay for all they’ve done. In true Upper East side fashion she does it in designer couture and rocking a pair of Louboutin heels. Natalie learned from the best how to play the game and they won’t know what hit them when she gets through with them.
While I liked books one and two this one was not my favorite of the bunch and seemed to leave me wanting more for Nat and Pen as a couple. I’m guessing there will be more books for this series in the future therefore any questions pertaining to the Crew weren’t addressed at all.
I am a huge fan of Virginia Rose and love everything she narrates and while Stephen Dexter has never been a narrator I sought out in the past he totally owned the character and truly became a force to be reckoned with in this series! I will be looking for more from him in the future!

4 stars for - Pretty Reckless - book one in the All Saints High series by L.J. Shen. This is a spin off of the Sinners of Saint series and it features the children of the original gang. These kids are up to shenanigans their parents never saw coming but when you are referred to as the Hot-Holes what more did they expect. Shen brings everything back full circle to the town of Todos Santos where her guys ruled supreme with games like Defy and of course football.
Daria Followhill is the oldest daughter of Jamie and Melody, she is the Queen Bee who rules the school with an iron fist... basically your stereotypical mean girl with issues that run deep. At one of her lowest points she meets someone who changes her life and unknowingly sets her on the path to who she is today. The boy who holds all her firsts is suddenly back in her life and she doesn't know what to make of it.
Penn Scully is from the wrong side of town and knows he has to fight, steal and beg just to be able to eat some nights so when he meets a girl who enchants him the only thing he can think to do is give her the only thing of value in his world. This girl changes him in ways he never wanted and turns his worst nightmare into a reality. Now years have passed and he vows to make her pay for what she did to him.
Fans of this author know she has an affinity for writing a-holes that make you swoon and Penn is no different but this story has many moving parts so be sure to keep up since I have a feeling All Saints High has lots more stories to tell.
As far as narration goes Maxine Mitchell only did very little but Angela and Michael are both seasoned professionals and sounded age appropriate for the characters they were playing. I highly recommend listening to this one today!

5 stars for - Luck of the Devil - book two in the Forge Trilogy. This book picks up right where book one left off so be sure to have read - Deal With The Devil - first and hang on for another incredible listen! Jericho and Indy are stumbling a bit since neither has ever had a relationship to speak of let alone a marriage so while their sexual chemistry is off the charts all the other aspects of marriage seem to be harder to navigate. Ms. March had me transfixed from start to finish and now I can’t wait for the conclusion in book three.
Indy has had to overcome so many things in her relatively young life so automatically trusting people doesn’t come easy for her. Hearing different things about her new husband causes her to doubt what he tells her and if his motives are true but she will do what she has to do for her family all the while hoping her heart doesn’t get trampled in the process.
Jericho wasn’t supposed to develop feelings for his wife. The marriage was supposed to be part of a deal where they both gained something in the end. Now that the stakes have changed Forge is ready to change all his rules for her.
Meghan takes us on another sexy ride through the Mediterranean with action, adventure and intrigue around every corner. Long time fans of her work will recognize a few familiar names and faces that make cameos in this book too. Trust me when I say this is one trilogy you won’t want to miss and one of my most favorite of hers to date!
