One of the BEST storytellers of our time!

I have listened to Dan Carlin’s podcasts for over ten years. He is one of the best story tellers of our time. I don’t care what he says, HE IS A HISTORIAN! This book does not disappoint and will capture your attention. I only wish it was longer!

Excellent perspective of the Great War

I was intrigued to hear this story from the German soldier’s perspective. It struck me how war affects all, and touched by the concepts of this book presented. War destroys all equally, the winners and losers. Anyone interested in WWI should listen or read this book. Wonderful.

This is a great place to start or continue if you are working on mindfulness and meditation. It is also a great book to use as a daily reminder to be present. I plan to listen periodically again just as a reminder.

Incredible story and performance

I enjoyed every second of this book! It was captivating and interesting. I love prequels as well. There is so much story to tell before the “Game of Thrones” current era. If you love GRRM you must listen to this book!

Great book for new fathers or those who need to hit the reset button

The book inspired me to be a better father and to reevaluate my progress. It is concise and uses great examples. It gets a little religious for me but don’t let that distract you from the wonderful message.

Amazing, Interesting, and insightful

Sometimes science based audio books can be tough to get through or dry. Not with Brain Rules! The author did an incredible job narrating book. The book is very well written and takes and incredibly complex topic and puts it into an educational but captivating read.

It's hard to just instantly put something into practice in life, but this book is one of the simplest methods for enjoying your life more and seeing things from a different perspective. A must listen for anyone who wants to improve their happiness. And a must read for anyone struggling with anxiety or depression.

Easy listen, very interesting.

I was initially worried about doing this book in audio form but the book had no problem holding my interest. The book is more stories about habit research than how to incorporate them into your own life and change your own habits. In fact only the last chapter really covers how to change your own habits. Still a good book though but I expected more of a "self help" book.
