Slow the narration and less repetition!
Revisado: 05-09-21
The narration I feel would have been better served if had been slower. There's repetition in content. There's a lot of good useful information making it worthwhile.

Historia
This wasn’t the plan. Judge Herman Calvert, 88, never thought he’d outlive his beloved wife, Marie. Yet now he finds himself alone, a grieving widower, desperate for escape from the home they built together, where every turn brings a painful reminder of his late wife. So the judge retreats to his lake cabin in rural Wisconsin, a place where an old man can find peace and solitude. A place where nature can take its course. But something new has moved in.

Historia
In 1960, Ishmael Reed, then an aspiring young writer, interviewed Malcolm X for a local radio station in Buffalo, and the encounter cost Reed his job and changed his life. In Malcolm and Me, Reed, the author of such classic novels as Mumbo Jumbo and the winner of a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, reveals a side of Malcolm X the public has never seen before, and explores how the civil rights firebrand influenced his own views on working and living and speaking out, and left a mark on generations of artists and activists.

Title change needed
Revisado: 02-06-20
In my opinion, Malcolm and Me overall is good but not great too much deviation from the topic title. I now know a lot about the author's life and not enough about his encounter with Malcolm X. Ishmael Reed's performance as a narrator was good, I like his voice and delivery. The story content although interesting veered too far off-topic and needed to stay on point or change the title.

Narration is dull, but content is excellent!
Revisado: 09-11-18
Truth to tell, this book will only appeal to a select few interested in the occult. Raymond A. Bernard Ph.D. provided excellent information about the awakening of kundalini. Bernard draws from many sources giving a pretty comprehensive explanation of kundalini. The biggest problem with this audible book version is the narrator Kay Edwards is dull in her delivery making it almost robotic. If you can focus on the information and not her dull narration, the content is excellent. Five stars overall for the content, one-star performance for dull narration, and five stars for the story because again content is valuable.
