Historia
The Grand Hotel is a horror novel by esteemed best-selling author Scott Kenemore ( Zombie, Ohio) that takes the reader on a thrilling ride through an interconnected series of stories narrated by the desk clerk and the residents of the hotel itself. And while it is not known whether or not the desk clerk is actually the devil incarnate, it is strange that so many visitors who come for a tour of the hotel have a way of never leaving.

Historia
Imogene is young, beautiful . . . and dead, waiting in the Rosebud Theater one afternoon in 1945. . . . Francis was human once, but now he's an eight-foot-tall locust, and everyone in Calliphora will tremble when they hear him sing. . . . John is locked in a basement stained with the blood of half a dozen murdered children, and an antique telephone, long since disconnected, rings at night with calls from the dead.

short stories at best
Revisado: 09-27-21
I didn't see these as ghost stories, just short stories. really, events being told. I feel as if something was missing in each.

Michael Pollan, known for his best-selling nonfiction audio, including The Omnivores Dilemma and How to Change Your Mind, conceived and wrote Caffeine: How Caffeine Created the Modern World as an Audible Original. In this controversial and exciting listen, Pollan explores caffeine’s power as the most-used drug in the world - and the only one we give to children (in soda pop) as a treat.

could use some coffee
Revisado: 02-08-20
the idea was good, interesting tidbits, but lacked true 'making the modern world' in the story.

Another me might think differently
Revisado: 09-06-16
What did you like best about Dark Matter? What did you like least?
An interesting look at science theory
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
SPOILER
I found the last third of the book an interesting take but found a flaw. With so many returning to the specific 'time line' why wasn't there repetitive protagonists?
