Historia
While on duty, Trig had received an Automated AEthereal Message from the OCSS Bone Wracker: a Call-To-Arms, an extremely rare type of message that was only issued when a ship encountered a situation that was beyond the capabilities of a single OCSS. Of course, the truly exciting news was that his superior, Thargus, was temporarily incapacitated, making Trig the acting First Shaman, giving him a front row seat to the investigation as part of the First Away Team. It appeared that, at long last, his on-duty life would get exciting enough to distract him from his off-duty life.

Fun Addition to the Multiverse
Revisado: 08-26-22
Initially I held off listening to the new story. I really wanted a continuation of Thomas and friends but I'm glad I added it to the library. It's a fun expansion on the original story and partial continuation. Narration was well done, other than the frustrating translocuted stuff.

Historia
The Beginning After the End: Publisher's Pack 2 contains books 3 and 4 of The Beginning After the End series, Beckoning Fates and Horizon's Edge. Though Arthur Leywin would like nothing more than to pursue his studies at the esteemed Xyrus Academy, where he hopes to push his already potent magical abilities to new plateaus and perhaps discover something more about his reincarnation into this world, he finds the politics of the school’s halls even more challenging to navigate than those of the council chambers he once inhabited as King Grey.

ok listen for background
Revisado: 07-31-22
I'm interested enough to finish the story but not for a audio credit.
Narrator did a good job but in the last hour I think production dropped the ball and left in a chapter that was meant to have been cut. There were back to back chapters of different characters supposedly doing the same thing as a reveal in partially saving the day.
At the end, the MC who the book goes on and on how mature they are, is unable to verbalize any kind of defense against the clearly wrongful miscarriage of justice. No teachers speak up, no classmates speak up, all for drama.

Historia
When a freak accident ruins his body and his memory, Wes Malcolm loses his scholarship and his place in the world. Every treatment has failed, save one: a fully immersive VR game, designed by his late, disgraced father, that mimics the condition his body used to possess. To everyone's disbelief, his body and mind slowly improve, bit by bit, but it's still not enough. Then one night, he wakes up in a world just like the game his father designed. Here, he can grow, learn, and thrive.

Revisado: 12-02-20
Author stacks every card in the deck against MC, torturinging in some cases literally the entire way. It was over the top, skipped through multiple chapters until I have it up.

Historia
The Station Core known as Milton has barely survived the first concentrated attack by hostile Proctans, leaving his "dungeon" destroyed and most of his defenders dead. Not the most auspicious start. But now, with the addition of Brint and his inventor friend, Whisp, Milton now has the tools available to turn his dungeon into one that should easily defend against all comers - or at least he hopes so. However, when the Cordpower Company contract the best of the best to find out what happened to their agents, Milton’s dungeon is put to the test.

Good idea - But book is mostly stats
Revisado: 03-23-20
Not a good book for audio unless your a big stats fan. Even with skipping chapters, it makes listening while driving a pain. There were times where you'd have 2 minutes of story and a chapter of 2.5 minutes of stats. With that said, I like the story and I'll be reading the rest.

Jack is a selfish, moronic jerk. But he doesn't own it, worrying how others perceive you but going on to screw them over doesn't feel authentic. Couldn't carry on.

Fresh off their victory over Graves and his followers, Marcus and his friends have managed to enjoy a few weeks of relative calm and peace as they continue to build Aldford, preparing the town for a new wave of settlers coming from Eberia. But as the days wear on with no new arrivals in sight, they begin to fear the worse, eventually setting out to search for their promised reinforcements and soon realizing that they weren’t as alone on the frontier as they thought they were.

But the reality is she's drowning in debt, has no prospects, and is forced to move back to Queens, where her parents remind her daily that they are very interested in grandchildren. Then, one morning, she is kidnapped, interviewed, and hired as an administrative assistant by the Corporation for UltraHuman Protection. Superheroes for hire, using their powers for good. Solid light book, very entertaining
Revisado: 08-06-18
I enjoyed this book and would absolutely say it's worth a credit. I try not spending credits on anything under 10 hours but glad I made the exception. Bahni Turpin did a great job narrating and I wouldn't mind listening to her other work. There were several laugh out loud moments. If there is a next one, I'd pick it up.

Put your dice and paper away. Turn off that computer. Blades of Verchinor, the most popular fantasy role-playing game of all time, is now the world’s first fully immersive virtual reality game! Okay, maybe there are a few glitches and bugs. Perhaps the NPC’s and monsters aren’t behaving exactly as expected. And sure, the creator who can fix issues such as these is missing, but this shouldn’t worry you. Life’s an adventure, right? Step through the portal and enter a new reality.

Hard to listen to
Revisado: 07-09-18
I've plowed through tons of litrpg books, I like the genre. But, this has some issues like the narrative changing with almost each character in the book and it's constantly shifting. Frustrating but not a deal breaker. Also, the characters don't seem to react to situations in a sane manner. If real death in and out of game is a real thing, they wouldn't be so cavalier with their lives like it's still a game. So much seems to be left unsaid and you're just told that these things are happening, not how or really why. I'm about 14 hours in and not sure I'll finish it. There are lots of really good reviews out there. If you need something to make it through the day, give it a try.

Hard on the ears. Listeners beware!
Revisado: 07-28-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Scott Brick the narrator has a good voice but the way that every sentence is read in his dramatic voice; is distracting & difficult to listen to. Much like a slow college lecture, you lose focus and start to tune Brick out. Nothing is emphasized or everything is, I'm not sure.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Scott Brick?
James Marsden, Luke Daniels, Pete Bradbury
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disgust & disappointment.
Any additional comments?
I admit I only made it in 6 or 7 hours through several start/stops. I've always seen the Shannara series available so I thought I'd see what the fuss is about. I may try to get a hard copy, there may still be some potential but I've never been so off put by a narrator before. I've weathered new narrators to favored series, with names & places mispronounced, better than this reading.
