Like every girl, Sarah Jakes dreamed of a life full of love, laughter, and happy endings. But her dreams changed dramatically when she became pregnant at age 13. Sarah's captivating story, unflinchingly honest and deeply vulnerable, is a vivid reminder that God can turn even the deepest pain into His perfection. More than a memoir, Lost and Found offers hope and encouragement. Perhaps you, like Sarah, find yourself wandering the detours of life. Regardless of how lost you feel, you, too, can be found.

Because you fall, doesn’t mean you can’t get back up!
Revisado: 03-07-25
I enjoyed this book; hearing Sarah tell her truth is a story and the truth of many women. We all have different journeys in life, but our stories are often duplicated. It was great to hear a Christian woman release and share her imperfections, her trials and tribulations; this story can be enlightening to someone else and let them know that there’s always a lite at the end of the tunnel, just hold on and keep the faith. Sarah’s truth is someone else therapy; this is a book of strength, coverage & overcoming insecurities & loving one’s self.

Historia
Mike Epps is one of America’s favorite and funniest people, but the path to fame was paved with opportunities to mess it up. And mess it up he did. Growing up in “Naptown” - what people who live there really call rough-around-the-edges Indianapolis - Epps was drawn to a life of crime, but as he quickly discovered, stealing and dealing didn’t really fit his sweet sensibilities. Not to mention he wasn’t very good at it - take, for example, the day he had to call the cops on himself when a dog wouldn’t let him leave a house he was burgling.

Revisado: 01-14-25
I simply enjoyed this audiobook; I occasionally laughed out loud; yet I was so surprised about the life of Mike Epps; this book allowed me to see into his world and understand, yet appreciate his struggles. I feel that Mike Epps is unapologetically giving us a glimpse into his life, a life that has humbled him and made him appreciative for all that he has been blessed and gifted with. A must read for all fans of Mr Epps & a lesson of how important it is to pursue your God given talents. I truly enjoyed this book & am so proud of Mike’s success as if I knew him personally.

Long before Tameka Foster Raymond was known for her high-profile marriage and drama-fueled divorce, she lived a vibrant life as a self-made success in the fashion world, curating the wardrobes and images of many of today’s award-winning entertainers. In this honest, sincere, witty, and at times gut-wrenching memoir, Tameka opens up about her childhood influences, coming of age in Oakland, and losing her first love without losing her decorum, dignity, or her ability to dream.

A Excellent Read
Revisado: 12-19-24
I absolutely loved this book. It had its share of humorous moments, but it also contained many deeply sad ones as well. The author’s pain and heartache resonated with me profoundly, especially regarding the loss of her son Kile. I hope writing this book was therapeutic for her. I felt as though I knew Tameka personally; as though she was a friend. She opened up her world to us in such an honest and believable way. I wish her nothing but the best and pray she continues to keep her son’s memory alive. For all the naysayers who’ve ever criticized her looks, motives, background or marriage to Usher, this book is truly a must read. I feel she has kept it 100 and did not hold back. Tameka Foster Raymond, thanks for sharing your story.

The Strength was a Women.
Revisado: 07-30-24
OMG, this is one of the best books I’ve come across in quite some time. While it’s an unfortunate and heartbreaking story, it’s filled with such raw emotions, headaches & heartbreaks; it’s a story of trials, tribulations and the power of forgiveness; the struggles of motherhood, the desire for love & acceptance and knowing one’s worth. I got so much out of Sabrina’s story & know that throughout her journey, God has given her the power to fulfill her purpose in life, while healing & breaking generational curses. This book, shows the strength of a woman and the acceptance of the hand that has been dealt to her. Sabrina Greenlee has truly made lemonade out of the lemons that were given to her. Although I don’t know her, I’m so proud of her accomplishments. I pray for continued success, good health & happiness for her and her family and am honored that she had the strength to share her story. This is a must read.

Historia
His real name was Earl Simmons. As a child, he placed higher on tests than his fellow students and liked to spend mornings with his mother and sisters playing games and making pancakes. But for young Earl - a boy growing up on the streets of Yonkers, New York - that kind of childhood didn’t last long. Beatings, abuse, and neglect very soon had him moving on to other things, like robbing, stealing, drugs, and, eventually, jail. Along the way, however, he found a talent and a passion for rhyme.

Revisado: 07-23-24
This book offered insight into the life of DMX, it allows the reader to understand his life, journey & struggles. While there was a lot of vulgarity in terms of the language, it’s understandable because that’s just unapologetically DMX. While X is no longer with us, my heart is saddened, but I’m glad he had the opportunity to live his dream. This was a great read, or should I say a great listen 😀

Did not meet my expectations
Revisado: 03-27-24
I love Leslie Jones as a Comedian, but this book just did not do it for me; it didn’t meet my expectations. I didn’t like the delivery of her story at all, and while I expected to hear about her basketball journey, it went on far too long, it actually bored me. At this point I’m on chapter 5 & it’s a tad bit boring. I think it’s a great story, it may be the manner in which it’s told. I’m ready to move on to my next book; and I’m okay not knowing the ending.

I See Her Growth
Revisado: 03-31-23
I enjoyed this audiobook. I remember listening to Angie throughout her career in New York; so it was great reminiscing, I would find myself saying, “Yeah I remember that.” I’m extremely happy that she addressed the rumor about the fight between her and Wendy Williams, I always wanted to know Angie’s side of the story because the streets were talking. I truly enjoyed this trip down memory lane as well as the glimpse into her private life, I feel that Angie stayed true to herself, as this book was authentic and non gossipy. Job well done.
