Historia
Paul Scharre, a Pentagon defense expert and former U.S. Army Ranger, explores what it would mean to give machines authority over the ultimate decision of life or death. Scharre's far-ranging investigation examines the emergence of autonomous weapons, the movement to ban them, and the legal and ethical issues surrounding their use. Through interviews with defense experts, ethicists, psychologists, and activists, Scharre surveys what challenges might face "centaur warfighters" on future battlefields.

Hey, I quoted in the book.

Cool, I am the former Army officer quoted as “One CRAM operator described....” in the centaur chapter. As someone who as also thought a lot about these issues and had experience with an autonomous weapon system I thought the book hit all the main points. It was also extremely well written.

Great book for those looking for self improvement.

This book address how an individual can rise to meet the challenges of finding a meaningful life despite several important problems facing society today. Automation, the PC movement, and the growing stratification of upperclass elites, who are largely unaware of the issues or incapable of rectifying issues being faced in the middle and working class, into enclaves has created problems hard to fully wrap ones head around. Last year life expectancy declined for the first time in a long time in the US due to a rise in suicide. This work is one that seeks to help individuals find there own meaning despite the major tides of societal change.

Great work for military officers and business professionals
Revisado: 08-20-19
As a former Army officer with deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq I would say this is a must read for any junior or senior officer. Additionally, I have had a lot of experience with power games and office politics in jobs and start ups I have been involved with m since leaving the military. I would argue that this is a must read companion to the 48 laws of power.
