what a disappointment

i have to say that this is the first of these books i was glad to have it over with. as much as i love this series, this book is a word soup. she is odviously fulfilling her contractual duties to the publisher with this book. she promised that this would be the last one. really?? all she does is rehash old story lines and draw it out irritatingly long, while the actual storyline crawls. the other books were written out of love for the story. this one was written out of obligation.

The narrator has a very pleasant voice. The story is compelling, and leaves you wanting more. Not too crazy about the bad guy storyline ( trying not to spoil it) but the monsters are great. I can really visualize everything the author describes. Give it a read. It's very different from any other time travel book I've read so far.
