Historia
After receiving a request for aid from a beautiful and mysterious messenger, Lee and his inner circle travel to nearby Birnefeld, a large and prosperous city ruled by the dragon king. Before he ever arrives, however, Lee encounters a group of marauders ransacking the countryside, meets a strange new herald who has set up camp in the region, and receives the dire news that the hero Brigid of Kildare has gone missing. To make things worse, a powerful new enemy is stalking him from the shadows, toying with his dreams, and striking at his closest relationships.

Soundbooth did no favor to the book
Revisado: 07-10-19
I thought the writing and narration of the book was wonderful. I think the addition of the sound effects are borderline horrific.
As for the book itself I really enjoy how Lee is continually pressed into doing things outside of belief system. It makes the reader/listener worry about how it effects his being. Half the time I find myself siding with Ling and the other half kind of enjoys the mayhem. I think author clearly shows how easy it would be for a person slip into the path of being a villain. Is evil that is done for all the right reasons still evil?

Historia
While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. That is, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon The Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln, and became the first living person to lay eyes on it in more than 140 years.

Brilliant blend of the fantastic and historical
Revisado: 05-23-12
If you could sum up Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter in three words, what would they be?
Dynamic Insightful Astounding
Who was your favorite character and why?
Abraham Lincoln. Honestly who else could it be with such a complex persona and depth of character?
Which scene was your favorite?
When Abraham Lincoln and Edgar Allen Poe are in a saloon talking about vampires, it was very surreal.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
During the loss of Lincolns first son William his benefactor Henry, who is a vampire, offers Abe the option to give his dead son new life.
Any additional comments?
I wish the musical tracks were more subdued so as not to night fight with the narration.
