Historia
Andy Carpenter is a lawyer who would rather not practice law. He'd rather spend his time working with the Tara Foundation, his dog rescue organization, and being with his family and his two dogs, Tara and Sebastian. But when a friend asks him for a favor that involves both dogs and his lawyerly expertise, he can't say no. Andy's friend Beth has found a stray that seems to have belonged to a murder victim - in fact, the man and two of his colleagues died in an explosion a few weeks ago.

Charlie Harris is stressed out. The Southern Academic Libraries Association is holding this year's annual meeting at Athena College. Since Charlie is the interim library director, he must deliver the welcome speech to all the visiting librarians. And as if that weren't bad enough, the keynote address will be delivered by Charlie's old nemesis from library school. It's been 30 years since Charlie has seen Gavin Fong, and he's still an insufferable know-it-all capable of getting under everyone's skin.

Something is missing
Revisado: 03-01-17
I enjoy this series; however it appears there was a problem with this recording. It appears there is 1 to 2pages missing from chapter 27 and 1 page missing from the last chapter. Randy's broken arm just shows up. In the last chapter, it jumps from night to the next day with no explanation.

Wistful
Revisado: 01-12-17
I have loved her books for years and love them. I'm especially fond of Barbara Rosenblatt as a narrator. My only regret they don't come more often and she doesn't write epilogues to kinda tie things together.

Historia
Spenser earned his degree in the school of hard knocks, so he is ready when a Boston university hires him to recover a rare, stolen manuscript. He is hardly surprised that his only clue is a radical student with four bullets in his chest. The cops are ready to throw the book at the pretty blond coed whose prints are all over the murder weapon but Spenser knows there are no easy answers. He tackles some very heavy homework and knows that if he doesn't finish his assignment soon, he could end up dead.

Robert N Parker was one of my favorites. His death in 2010 sadden me greatly. It's great that he was such a prolific writer. If I had ever read the first in the series, I had forgotten it. Interesting to see the progression.
