Gabby Ashford has just survived an attempt on her life. Detectives have connected her story to two other cases in the area: Professional women drugged at a bar, brought to their homes, and drowned in their bathtubs. Gabby, who miraculously woke up in her own bathtub unharmed, could be the key to finding a serial killer on the loose - but she has no memory of the attack. Gabby admits herself to a high-end rehabilitation center to recover, and to seek the help of a psychiatrist renowned for his work with memory recovery.

This is quite possibly the worst title I’ve listened to. The narration was okay, but she couldn’t save a terrible book.

Historia
Leigh Collier has worked hard to build what looks like a normal life. She has a good job as a defense attorney, a daughter doing well in school, and even her divorce is relatively civilized - her life is just as unremarkable as she’d always hoped it would be. But Leigh’s ordinary life masks a childhood that was far from average...a childhood tarnished by secrets, broken by betrayal, and finally torn apart by a devastating act of violence.

Amazing book!
Revisado: 08-07-21
I knew I would enjoy this book simply because it’s written by my favorite author. I wasn’t expecting to immediately fall in love. I was blindsided by that. I gasped as the first twist happened so early. Didn’t see that coming at all, but it perfectly setup the events to follow and the how and why of who Leigh and Callie are as adults.
I have no idea if the details of what happened to Callie and the resulting feelings are from research or firsthand experience, but as a survivor, I can tell you I was in tears. They’re spot-on accurate.
I love Will and Sarah, but I’ll be so disappointed if this isn’t the first book in a new series featuring Leigh Collier.

Historia
Until a chance assignment takes GBI investigator Will Trent to the state penitentiary, and to a prisoner who says he recognizes the MO. The attack looks identical to the one he was accused of eight years earlier. The prisoner’s always insisted that he was innocent, and now he’s sure he has proof. The killer is still out there. As Will digs into both crimes, it becomes clear that he must solve the original case in order to reach the truth

Worth the wait!
Revisado: 08-12-20
This audiobook was everything I had hoped it would be! I usually don’t enjoy books that move between past and present. They’re too hard to keep up with. Karin’s writing style this time helped me tremendously. The story moves alternates between “now” and “then” a chapter at a time. A chapter in Grant County followed by a chapter in Atlanta.
I stretched out listening to it over a week because I wanted to savor it as long as possible. Thank you for creating wonderfully flawed and real characters, Karin!
Now then, get off of Instagram and give us another book!

Wow! How have I lived to the ripe old age of 55 without ever hearing of an author named Harlan Coben? I loved this book so much! My headphones have been glued to my head for the past 5 hours. Yes, I know the book is much longer than that, but I was so anxious to find out what happened to Tara, I listened to several hours at 2x speed.
I loved the good guys(even the flawed ones) and I hated the bad guys. I got the Whodunnit wrong. I was expecting it to be a character from earlier in the book. I cannot wait to listen to another one of his books, but I’ll check the release date first. My only complaint is several of the references make the book sound dated.

One month later, the serenity of a sunny Sunday afternoon is shattered by the boom of a ground-shaking blast - followed by another seconds later. I laughed! I cried! I stayed up too late!
Revisado: 08-21-19
Here are two things I loved about this book:
1- Hearing Sarah’s thoughts on Will sweetly rubbing her brow and hearing Will’s thoughts on why he rubbed her brow. Priceless!
2- Karin voiced a truth we all know too well... toddlers are a$$holes.
I loved this book!

Good listen, slow beginning
Revisado: 06-27-19
I almost deleted this book within the first 15 minutes. I love January LaVoy’s work, but Kevin Collins’ chapters were painful. I initially hated the music, but it grew on me as the story moved along and I was able to see how it was needed to set the tone of Graham. Even though I didn’t love this book, I’m still going to listen to Unsolved next. I hope the narrators are as good as January LaVoy.

I love this series! I’m listening to them in order and I enjoy seeing how the characters are growing and meshing. That being said, if I find out that I have to wait 2 more books before Angie Polaski dies a horrible, painful, drawn out and lonely death...I’m jumping ahead! Screw order! I hate her so much!!
