Historia
Who among us has not been hurt by human evil? It happens to us almost daily: Insults, trickery, betrayal, and other serious sins. How many times have we asked ourselves, where does all this evil come from? And why does it exist at all? And - how is it possible to deal with it and overcome it? Our small radio station invites our listeners to share with other listeners their stories of evil that they have experienced in their lives. Thirty-two different stories enable us to penetrate the depths of evil.

Interesting and unusual
Revisado: 05-16-20
Weird, unusual, funny and very fun to read. This book is part mockumentary part rant part philosophy book trying to grapple with the very basic question of why there is evil in the world, what does it stem from? don't expect any answers or morals here, just a nuanced and interesting perspective on this age-old question. I am still undecided on whether this book is deeply misanthropic or full to the brim with love of man.
The book is really well narrated and almost feels like it was actually made for audio format.

Historia
The Man on the Mountaintop tells the story of Holy Man Joe, an ageing and unassuming man who lives in a hermitage on top of a mountain. During the summer months, thousands of hopefuls line the path leading to his door, seeking his wisdom. From bombastic, wealthy nobles intent on cheating their way to the top to drunkards who gradually build the physical and mental strength they need to quit their addiction, The Man on the Mountaintop is a rousing tale full of humour, wit and life lessons.

Historia
Forty years ago Israeli psychologists Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky wrote a series of breathtakingly original studies undoing our assumptions about the decision-making process. Their papers showed the ways in which the human mind erred systematically when forced to make judgments about uncertain situations. Their work created the field of behavioral economics, revolutionized Big Data studies, advanced evidence-based medicine, led to a new approach to government regulation, and made Michael Lewis' work possible.

much more accessible than reading 'thinking fast and slow' and gets all the main ideas across.
