The best memoir I have heard in a long time

I just completed this and between the truth of Sir Patrick's words and his narration it gives me a fresh appreciation for the man most affectionately know as Picard and to others Professor X. Either way his journey was not always smooth but always authentically transparent. I haven't watched Picard but after hearing this it makes me think I need to check it out. Well worth listening to .

Tilda graphically describing how her son was tortured and eventually killed in front of her.

The naming ceremony as each cleric dies to their given name to instead take up their chosen name for the sake of the world.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No the first time I wanted to let the experience linger. The next time I may.

The moment I heard this book was going to be available as an audiobook I knew I had to have it. I am so grateful I do.
