Historia
In The Return of the Gods, Cahn takes the listener on a journey from an ancient parable, the ancient inscriptions in Sumer, Assyria, and Babylonia that become the puzzle pieces behind what is taking place in our world to this day, specifically in America. The mystery involves the gods. Who are they? What are they? And is it possible that these beings, whose origins are from ancient times, are the unseen catalysts of modern culture?

Historia
Is Atheism Dead? is an entertaining, impressively wide-ranging, and decidedly provocative answer to that famous 1966 Time cover that itself provocatively asked “Is God Dead?” In a voice that is by turns witty, muscular, and poetic, Metaxas intentionally echoes C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton in cheerfully and logically making his astonishing case, along the way presenting breathtaking - and often withering - new evidence and arguments against the idea of a Creatorless universe.

Historia
For us Jews who grew up in Israel, Jesus and his word were never part of the conversation. Not in our school system, not in our synagogues, and not in our media. Nor do we have easy access to the New Testament. Jesus has been studiously avoided and hidden from our people. After almost 2,000 years, Jesus, or as we call him in Hebrew, Yeshua, can no longer be hidden from the people! Now, we can explain the Gospel to our people in a way that makes sense to them, in our own native tongues of Hebrew and Arabic, as only Israelis can and help our people understand who Yeshua really is.

I got the audible and paperback version of the book. I was blown away by the content. Amazing. It is a relatively small book to read however it took me longer than usual to finish. I had to do my own research on all the quotes that the author quoted from the Tanakh, Brit Chadasha and the Rabbinic Sages. Many times I couldn’t believe what my eyes were reading.
Dr. Eitan Bar did an outstanding job. Thank you.
I know what my friends are getting for their birthdays ;)

Historia
After surviving the horrors of the Holocaust - in ghettos, on death marches, and in concentration camps - a young couple seeks refuge in Canada. They settle into a new life, certain that the terrors of their past are behind them. They build themselves a cozy little cottage on a lake in Muskoka, a cottage that becomes emblematic of their victory over the Nazis. The charming retreat is a safe haven, a refuge from haunted memories. That is, until a single act of unspeakable violence defiles their sanctuary.

A nonfiction gem

I pre-ordered this book last week. It became available this past Tuesday and I just finished it. Once I started I couldn’t stop listening. I highly recommend it for anyone. Besides the events evolving in North America within the past decade, this book contains the perfect amount of historical events that happened in Eastern Europe during and right after WWII, that will ignite the curiosity of any historical event lover’s to dig deeper and find out more.
