Historia
A free society that despises manhood will not remain free. The American Founders believed that a republic depends on certain masculine virtues. Senator Josh Hawley thinks they were right. In a bold new book, he calls on American men to stand up and embrace their God-given responsibility as husbands, fathers, and citizens.

Time very well spent. Extremely well written and present. Will be listening to this again and again over the coming years - for my own ongoing betterment, especially as father to son.

Largely regurgitates bad habits before getting to a sliver of good advice.

So disappointed with this version. We’re strong believers in the original text and looked forward to seeing it applied to the teen context. But this version proved unlistenable after more than half way through. The authors dedicate an inordinate amount of pages to the bad habits they’re going to remedy. But they only give short passing attention to the solutions they offer. Listening to this as an audiobook only reinforced the horrible habits the book is supposed to solve. We’d have preferred an approach that repeatedly modeled the authors’ solutions.
