Love RAW

This book captured the spirit of the 70s and the 60s well and RAW writes from a first person experience which I always appreciate. The narrator is stellar and his voice especially matches RAW's persona.
I was turned off by RAW after watching Maybe Logic many years ago, but this book has done a 180 on my opinion of him.

I just couldn't put this down

Gavin is a stellar person. His narration and writing is so sincere and hilarious. This is unlike other raunchy books like I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell. It is much more from the heart. American humor has become a dying art form and it's people like Gavin, Bill Burr or even Eric Andre who keep the embers burning.
Gavin, love ya bro. Keep doing what you do!

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
The first chapter
What does Camille Paglia bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Wit and her laconic style of speaking. For the level of intellect she possesses, she comes off as a non academic. She is also funny and her speaking tone is unlike that of an polished academic intellectual. She sounds very proletariat and everything is spoken with a strong conviction. I don't think any other narrator could have done justice to this book.

A story that gets your from the start!

And an awesome performance as well by the narrator as well! He does different voices for different characters and doesn't sound corny at all.
