Family is everything and yet….
Revisado: 10-13-24
This is a poignant story of past loss and hope for a better future. When two world collides by accident things become tangled together and then they are both completely aligned. I enjoyed the story line, the narrative was a bit flat and but ok. It’s a good read to pass the time and enjoy.

Historia
Margaret Tudor, the elder sister of her more famous brother Henry VIII, is the single most important Tudor figure of this era that historians have consistently overlooked. Married at thirteen to the charismatic James IV of Scotland, a man more than twice her age, she would learn the skills of statecraft that would enable her to survive his early death, and to construct a powerful position in her adopted country of Scotland as she dealt with domestic issues as well as navigating international relations with England and France.

Margaret Tudor / Queen of Scots
Revisado: 09-24-24
I enjoyed listening to this audio book and specifically about the personal relationships between Margaret and Henry the eight and her husband king James lv which greatly impacted her life. The book dives into her life at a very young age and we see her grow up to be a formidable woman with a mission. Her legacy indeed continues and it was such a pleasure to finally read about Margaret Tudor’s journey. Overall a very good read with highs and lows on the life of Queen Margaret.

Sweet story about faith and trust
Revisado: 04-24-24
It was a short and sweet romance of two unlikely pair who meet and work it out together. Faith, forgiveness and trust are the theme and substance for the main characters that gives you pause to think about your own journey.

Historia
The reign of Richard III, the last Yorkist king and the final monarch of the Plantagenet dynasty, marked a turning point in British history. But despite his lasting legacy, Richard only ruled as king for the final two years of his life. While much attention has been given to his short reign, Michael Hicks explores the whole of Richard's fascinating life and traces the unfolding of his character and career from his early years as the son of a duke to his violent death at the battle of Bosworth.

Richard the lll. Life review
Revisado: 02-21-24
The span of historical data is incredibly large with detailed information on expenses, soldiers and army, military personnel and leaders. The issue I have is that is not engaging and lacks personal touch. Ie his personal relationships with his wife, mother, child, brother, etc. I believe the narrator delivered the lines as well as can be expected but it reminded me of being in a lecture format that goes on and on. Yes, I’ve learned more about King Richard lll and yes it was educational and well researched but in my opinion the audio format could have been improved.

Epic 4th book in series
Revisado: 08-30-23
I’ve listened to Ravenspur twice and there are so many details and dialogues between people creating an important moment to remember that amazes me. The book is exceptional and I hope the author considers one more book to wrap this period. It is astonishing to see how events unfolded and how history may have changed if not for twists and turns, loyalty, commitment and strong convictions. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Historia
The Brothers York is the story of three remarkable brothers, two of whom were crowned kings of England and the other an heir presumptive, whose antagonism was fueled by the mistrust and vendettas of the age that brought their family to power. The house of York should have been the dynasty that the Tudors became. Its tragedy was that it devoured itself.

Captivating book and story
Revisado: 06-03-23
I was riveted to listen to the story of the brothers of York and dive into their lives reliving the moment of powerful events in the 16th century Tudor era. The narrator Roy McMillan is excellent and I really enjoyed listening from beginning to end.

Wonderful riveting story

I really enjoyed listening to this audio book that threaded lives together in perfect harmony. The characters are all well written I just wished there were more than 1 person narrating the story. Other than that, it was a great read.
