I love the Demigods of San Francisco series and have read it multiple times on ebook. The GraphicAudio production truly brought it to life.

Sin & Surrender is the perfect ending to this series. Lexi and her crew take the Magical Summit by storm with all the chaos you’d expect from them all while having each others’ backs. Kieran takes more of a back seat role in this book, letting Lexi shine.

I’m looking forward to the start of Daisy’s series coming this year!

This is an entertaining holiday novella full of sugar and spice all wrapped up in a why choose bow! Definitely read or listen to Puck One Night Stands first though.

The full cast narration with supremely talented voice actors made this audiobook come to life. I could feel the opposing emotions from Crew and Nathan when the transportation for the holiday was revealed and Dani’s heartbreak when the group arrived at her parents’ home on Christmas Eve.

I read this book previous on KU, but I loved it even more on audio!

The perfect start to a light hearted witchy romcom series, Witches Get Stuff Done brings Riley Everett to Starfall Island hoping to make a connection with her aunt, the last remaining relative on her mother’s side. The ferry to the island provides a meet cute that is more motifying than cute when Riley confronts Eddison for selfishly occupying the only working restroom on the ferry. Although their interaction is beyond awkward, the spark of attraction is obvious. This scene also introduces Alice, manager of the local antique store, who becomes one of Riley’s best friends.

This book is full of unique and quirky characters, including the spectral butler of Shadow House, which Riley finds herself responsible for upon learning that her aunt recently passed. She feels totally unprepared for the mission which her aunt left to her, but receives help from Alice and Caroline as they fumble through their new friendship and form a coven, and island librarian, Eddison, whose love for learning and obsession for keeping Riley safe, make him a strong ally. I never considered how difficult it would be for a couple to find privacy when the house, and a good portion of the town, is haunted by ghosts!

The performances by Amanda Ronconi and Teddy Hamilton brought the characters and story to life. I’m always amazed at their ability to create such unique voices for each character. They are both so talented! This is one that I definitely recommend listening to on audio.

I read the ebook edition of Latte Darling last August and remembered that I enjoyed it, but not much in the way of details. It's been a nearly a year, after all. With a day ahead spent driving, I decided to give this a listen on audio. I'm so glad I did!

Maddie is lonely, even with some great friends in her life. Without her parents or any other family, she's deeply desires having someone in her life to be her person and build a future with. She's tired of being alone with all the decisions, pressures, and responsibilities of adulting and being the owner of Bean Bag, the coffee shop she has worked at since she was sixteen. Not wanting to attend her bff's wedding solo, and hoping to find a boyfriend, Maddie decides to brave the world of dating apps.

When silver fox Axel approaches Maddie at the bar with an explanation for why his son didn't show for their date, the attraction is instant on both sides. Turns out what Maddie needs isn't just boyfriend and a date for her friend's wedding, Maddie needs a Daddy. Axel is tattooed daddy perfection! When Axel call Maddie "Baby Girl"...swoon!

Maddie's insecurities, Axel's guilt over their age difference, and fear of alienating his son provide challenges to their relationship.

The narration by Gomez Pugh and Callie Dalton brought the characters and every emotion to life. It was pure pleasure to listen to Latte Darling and I finished it in one day.

This was worth every moment of the wait! Book 1 ended on a cliffhanger and Midnight of Ashes picked up from there, which I was happy about.

Lots of character development for East and Maddox, giving the reader a deeper understanding of why they are each keeping a distance from Hayden physically and emotionally.

While this book is fast paced, with constant threats hanging over their bond, the few moments of normalcy and lightness gave a peek of the future they are fighting for.

The guy’s throwing shade at Knox’s love of pickle potato chips made me laugh because they are my daughter’s current obsession. 😆

Not gonna lie, I’m not a fan of cliffhangers, but this series is just so good! With the mystery of Hayden’s parents still unsolved, a traitor in the hoard, and a mean girl that just won’t quit, I need to know how this is all going to play out.

I switched between the ebook and audiobook, but have to say that I am totally in love with the cast of narrators for this book. This is one that’s even better on audio!

This was the very first book I read by Sarah Blue shortly after its release back in 2022. I absolutely loved Blair and Dax and have reread it multiple times.

Gabriel de Leon was demon daddy perfection in his performance of Dax. Deep, seductive, and dominant, I could listen to him all day!

Georgia Gray brought Blair to life as the powerful, confident witch she is, while also creating a sweetly submissive, with a touch of bite, voice for Stevie.

I’m always a little hesitant when listening to a beloved book on audio for the first time for fear that the performance won’t do justice to my imagined characters, but Charming Your Dad exceeded my expectations! Highly recommend!

Brother's Best Friend, Hockey Romance

Revisado: 03-23-24

Rix is proud, not wanting to rely on her NHL brother for financial security, but when she rage quits her job, followed by walking in on the roommates from H3LL in a role play scene in their shared living room, she's had enough. Bunking in her brother's loft temporarily it is. Downside: Rix is sleeping in the loft (no doors, open to the apartment below and NO PRIVACY) and her brother shares an apartment with his best friend who is her teen crush/nemesis and they hate each other. Added to that, her brother is a legendary f*ckboy bringing a different woman home every night.

I have mixed feelings about If You Hate Me by Helena Hunting. This book has tropes that I typically love: brother's best friend, enemies to lovers, close proximity, and hockey. I felt that the enemies part of the trope was a bit overdone on Tristan's part. The outright cruelty of some of his comments really bothered me. Even with the obvious attraction between them, I had trouble reconciling the fact that Rix was willing to open herself to Tristan after all his hurtful behavior and comments. Rix's brother seems totally oblivious to everything that is going on with her, and his reaction to finding out about Tristan and Rix seemed over the top, given his own behavior.

The dual POV in this book helped me reconcile my feelings about Tristan. Getting a look in his head didn't absolve his words, but made me understand him better and made his character development believable. FYI, this book is spicy!

The performances by Connor Crais and C. J. Bloom were perfection! They truly brought this dual POV book to life with emotion, inflection, and spot on pacing. I enjoyed this book more for having listened to it on audiobook.

If you need a quick escape into a why choose shifter romance, give this a listen. Fated mates, daddy vibes, and a sweet yet strong fmc who’s not afraid to stand up for what she believes she needs to do.

The audiobook performance brought the story to life with easily differentiated voices, emotion, and perfect pacing.

This audiobook is perfect for when you just have a short time and need that spicy and quick read!

Gunnar Qualen Saved This Audiobook

I'm always on board for a Beauty and the Beast retelling/reimagining, so when I saw this one, I had to pick it up on Audible. I had high hopes for this book since I also enjoy a daddy vibe romance, but sadly, it just didn't work for me. I was left with too many questions regarding the secret club, the roles of the brothers, and their father. I also had trouble connecting with Annabelle's character in the later part of the book. This could be a me issue and this book may be perfect for another reader.

The narration by Gunnar Qualen was amazing and I could listen to him all day long, but Jenna St. Claire just didn't seem the right fit for Annabelle's character, in my opinion.
