Historia
The village of Badger's Drift is the essence of tranquillity. But when resident and well-loved spinster Miss Simpson takes a stroll in the nearby woods, she stumbles across something she was never meant to see, and there's only one way to keep her quiet. Miss Simpson's death is not suspicious, say the villagers. But Miss Lucy Bellringer refuses to rest: her friend has been murdered. She is sure of it.

Inspector Barnaby
Revisado: 02-14-23
I am a long time fan of Caroline Graham’s Inspector Barnaby books and tv series. This one is no exception…the narrator was very good. At times I could hear John Nettles speaking.

Carole Seddon's trusty Renault is one of her most treasured possessions. So when it’s vandalized, there's only one person she will entrust with its repair: Bill Shefford, who’s been servicing the vehicles of the good citizens of Fethering for many years. But how could something like this happen in Fethering of all places? Then a note is shoved under Carole's kitchen door: Watch out. The car window was just the start. It appears that she’s been deliberately targeted. But by whom, and why?

Historia
The snow is thick, the phone line is down, and no one is getting in or out of Warbeck Hall. All is set for a lovely Christmas, with friends and family gathered round the fire, except as the bells chime midnight, a murder is committed. But who is responsible? The scorned young lover? The lord's passed-over cousin? The social-climbing politician's wife? The Czech history professor? The obsequious butler? And perhaps the real question is: Can they survive long enough to find out?

This is the 3rd book of Cyril hare that I have listened to. I’m only saddened to learn there aren’t any more.. I hope Audible will or Tantel will find it worth while to produce more books and engage Chris Macdonnell as the narrator…he is-superb.

Historia
Things had gone wrong from the very beginning at the Almstone Flower Show, including a missing fortune teller. But events take a decidedly macabre turn when the fortune teller is found and Detective Inspector Sloan and Detective Constable Crosby arrive to investigate a murder for which there seems no means, no motive, and no opportunity.
