Too many ads!
Revisado: 03-13-24
I'm sure there are bills to be paid but I found the ads in the podcast very off-putting. I do love the women doing this, but there needs to be another way to fund it.

Waste of time
Revisado: 03-10-24
Being a fan of Ms. Streisand for most of my life, I was looking forward to hearing this book. I knew there would be a lot to tell, but I did not expect the most finite details. I typically listen to books while I am driving, but this one put me to sleep. I'm sorry I wasted a credit.

Historia
Tornadoes...they can blow into our lives through divorce, sudden illness, and loss. For Shannyn, the tornado was a literal one that struck on April 9, 1999, killing both her parents, Lee and Jacque Cook. For years, she lived broken, empty, and, worst of all, hopeless. And then...The Healing Season. More importantly, the Healer.

You must get this book - you will be changed!
Revisado: 01-24-19
Hearing Shannyn read this true, hard, exciting, raw, amazing, painful, life-changing account of how God miraculously changed her faith and her life journey through the loss of both parents in a horrible way is, in itself, life-changing for the listener. Her truth that each of us has a place within us that may (no - DOES) need healing is heart-felt and much-needed. It's intense, but not overly so. It's challenging, and rightfully so. It's life-changing, and powerfully so. I invite you to find a quiet place to listen - really listen - to her story, and see if you might find yourself somewhere within it. Then, prepare to come to the end forever changed, and enter your own healing season.

Historia
A middle-aged, overweight, and acrophobic newspaper editor Tom Ryan and a little dog, Atticus M. Finch, are an unlikely pair of mountaineers, but after a close friend dies of cancer, the two pay tribute to her by attempting to climb all forty-eight of New Hampshire's four-thousand-foot peaks twice in one winter. Tom and Atticus set out on an adventure of a lifetime that takes them across hundreds of miles and deep into an enchanting but dangerous winter wonderland. Little did they know that their most difficult test would lie ahead, after they returned home. Following Atticus is ultimately a story of transformation....
