Steven doesn’t hold back but when did he ever ;) I love reading about the starving musicians before fame but man as a recovering addict Steven and Mike Starr of Alice just killed me, in great great bands with the world at their hands but it all got took away because of addiction. I always always felt sorry for Steven but he wrote a he!! of a book!!

Historia
Juliet only wanted to see her childhood home one more time–to look at it from the street. She never intended to meet the new owners, let alone talk her way into a position as their new live-in nanny. But it's too late now to tell the truth about who she really is. Six-year-old Kitty has progressive mutism and cannot speak. Nobody knows why she keeps making silent phone calls to the police. Juliet makes it her mission to find out. As Juliet settles into the house, nostalgia for her childhood gives way to uneasiness, as troubling memories surface.

Great book!!

It took a minute to get into this book, my fault entirely but once I was into it I was INTO IT!! Great twists and turns and a very good positive ending. It’s a long book which I enjoy but it goes by very fast because more than likely you will not want to turn it off!

Historia
To the outside world, they seem to have it all. Cassie Barrett, a renowned anthropologist, and Alex Rivers, one of Hollywood's hottest actors, met on the set of a motion picture in Africa. They shared childhood tales, toasted the future, and declared their love in a fairy-tale wedding. But when they return to California, something alters the picture of their perfect marriage. A frightening pattern is taking shape - a cycle of hurt, denial, and promises, thinly veiled by glamour.

The narrator
Revisado: 09-29-24
This was a really good book, great story but the narrator was sooooo hard to listen to. She reads very well but she doesn’t have a voice for narration to me. You can tell she done her best and I did listen to the whole book but it was hard. Maybe it’s just me. It I thought I should put it in the reviews just in case

Historia
My darling little boy Albie adores playing at our new neighbours’ house. And after the terrible year we’ve had, I feel so lucky that we can start over in this perfect place, with new friends who treat Albie like the son they never had. He can’t stop talking about the tree house they’re building him, and the cookies they bake together. But as time passes, something starts to feel wrong. Why don’t they ever open the front door more than a crack? They told me they had no children so who does the small pink tricycle I saw in their hall belong to?

That last chapter
Revisado: 09-20-24
This book was kind of slow at first for me but it eventually got moving. This was a OK book but nothing great maybe with a different narrator? The part I really disliked was the last chapter of the book, it just didn’t make sense to me, idk I guess too many strings left flying in the wind kind of like unfinished or something

I tried so hard….
Revisado: 09-06-24
I REALLY wanted to like this book, I really did but between the narrators and 1 million sex scenes I just barely struggled thru. I liked the story it kept you guessing but my god after the 3rd or 4th sex scene I was over it. I honestly didn’t know this was a small bit of thriller and mostly sex. Yes I’m hung up on the sex scenes because it was entirely too much. I really want to complete the series but I just can’t do it I absolutely done more skipping than listening to the bad narration
