A Nighttime Read

As I wind down each night, I listen to The Great Gatsby. The calm tone of the narrator helps me relax. The story moves at a gentle pace. I imagine the lights of New York and hear soft jazz. I feel the hope and sadness in the characters. It is a short story but deep. I finish a few chapters before sleep. Sometimes I pause to think about dreams that feel far away. The ending makes me feel quiet and thoughtful. I like how the book has simple language but strong emotion. I will likely return to this story when I need calm or inspiration. I recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful end to their day.
