Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Profound truths
Revisado: 04-24-21
I’ve never been awestruck by celebrities for their ability to do their job well (act), but I was awestruck by the human being in this book. Matthew McConaughey has lead a fascinating life and his profound truths and words of wisdom have really been inspiring to listen to. I loved everything about this book/audio read! Not only should Hollywood have more celebrities like him, the world should have more people like him! Let’s all look a little deeper inside and take control of our own lives and stop blaming others. I’d definitely give this a green light!

Peel back the cheerful façade that parents present, and you'll find that many are worried about their teens. Mood swings, impulsiveness, poor judgment, and other problems peak in these years. Add stressors such as screen addiction, cyberbullying, increasing academic demands, and time-consuming athletic commitments...and it's no surprise that today's teenagers rank as the most anxious in 50 years.

#MustRead/Listen for all parents
Revisado: 02-05-19
A friend recommended this book to me and now I plan on “paying it forward” and telling everyone I know with kids to read/listen to this! My kids are only 10 and 8, but now I feel like I have years to practice with how I (and my husband) react to situations with the kids... so we’ll be ready for the “crazy” teen years! I learned most that I have changes to make and I’m willing to make them so my kids turn out to be great adults. If we want change in this world people, it starts will the kids we’re raising!!
