Historia
The policy of Manifest Destiny said America was a morally superior nation that had the right to build an empire from the East Coast to the West Coast, much to the detriment of the Native Americans who stood in the way. This audiobook will document the Trail of Tears, bringing to light many events that occurred in the background while describing a few prominent Native American chiefs.

Spotty history
Revisado: 08-29-24
The history was very superficial and the narration on this was comically bad. I was disappointed.

Historia
Decision at Sea is a powerful and illuminating look at pivotal moments in the history of the Navy and of the United States. It is also a compelling study of the unchanging demands of leadership at sea, where commanders must make rapid decisions in the heat of battle with lives - and the fate of nations - hanging in the balance.

Outstanding history
Revisado: 07-07-23
The history was thorough and presented vey well. Symonds story telling is very good and his interpretations of these battles from a new viewpoint were very insightful. One of the most worthwhile histories I have ever read.

Historia
A Wicked War presents the definitive history of the 1846 war between the United States and Mexico - a conflict that turned America into a continental power. Amy Greenberg describes the battles between American and Mexican armies, but also delineates the political battles between Democrats and Whigs - the former led by the ruthless Polk, the latter by the charismatic Henry Clay and a young representative from Illinois named Abraham Lincoln. Greenberg brilliantly recounts this key chapter in the creation of the United States authority and narrative flair.

Interesting book - terrible narration
Revisado: 06-15-23
This is an important story but the narrator is so bad it is hard to listen to. Her fake southern accent is painful, and when she tries to voice one of the Mexican characters it is even worse
