Historia
My name is Chase Cooper, and I'm a 6th grade ninja. It's my first day at a different school and the only person I know is my cousin, Zoe (but she might be a little too cool for me). I was just another scrawny kid until a group of ninjas recruited me into their clan. It was a world of trouble I wasn't prepared for, which is why I kept this diary (or "chronicle" as my dad would call it) - to warn other kids about the dangers of becoming a ninja. They say history is destined to repeat itself...well, not if I can help it.

Basic self-help book... vaguely Christian.
Revisado: 07-26-19
I enjoyed that the book was read by the other herself and you could clearly feel the author's passion for what she has written. However, overall, I was disappointed with the lack of emphasis on Christian philosophical worldview. Although the author herself claims to be a Christian, there was a surprising lack of Christianity displayed in the text as at mostly dissolved into a self-help book.

Historia
12 Strong is the dramatic account of a small band of Special Forces soldiers who secretly entered Afghanistan following 9/11 and rode to war on horses against the Taliban. Outnumbered 40 to one, they pursued the enemy army across the mountainous Afghanistan terrain and, after a series of intense battles, captured the city of Mazar-i-Sharif. The bone-weary American soldiers were welcomed as liberators as they rode into the city. Then the action took a wholly unexpected turn.

disappointing...
Revisado: 05-19-19
I really wanted love to story, but the book jumped around so much it was difficult to follow the characters. The reader was very difficult to listen to as well. save yourself the time and read it on Kendall or paperback... or just watch the movie.

Historia
With compassion and candor, leading neurosurgeon Henry Marsh reveals the fierce joy of operating, the profoundly moving triumphs, the harrowing disasters, the haunting regrets, and the moments of black humor that characterize a brain surgeon's life. If you believe that brain surgery is a precise and exquisite craft, practiced by calm and detached surgeons, this gripping, brutally honest account will make you think again.
