Excellent writing, always looked forward to the next chapter. The characters are well developed and fun to get to know.

An epic story of different people who worked for justice in the Central American wars that were often created by the US.

I am a white woman who wants to learn more about the people whose land I live on and First Nations.
This book is a beautiful meditation on interconnection and the narration is like having poetry read to you.
I can read the story now, but I am glad I had it read to me first for proper pronunciation of names and words, and also for the pure enjoyment of it

This is a page turner of a book with a compelling and difficult lesson. At times difficult to listen to due to the way we treat our fellow humans, but very readable. The reader is perfect for the book.

I have read several books recently about Shakespeare and had heard this one is excellent. But after five chapters of the heavy, constant dark urgency in the narrator’s delivery I just couldn’t take it any more and had to stop listening. She made every sentence very dark, very heavy, and didn’t change the tone for any reason. Buy the written book.

Patricia Evans articulates and witnesses the truth of damage caused by a verbally abusive partner. I felt validated and empowered reading this. Also, very sad. Definitely recommend.

Hearing Pema Chodron’s wisdom out of her own mouth was a real gift. Learning all is part of the lesson, and it’s all good. Highly recommend, to listen over and over

This is the third book of Ken Follett’s that I’ve listened to, and each one has been wonderful. The epic stories, the history you learn in spite of yourself, and the superb narration by John Lee, makes this a five star book for sure

This exquisite book carries you from before the Russian revolution through the mid century in Moscow. It starts slowly and slow, but by halfway through I could not wait to listen. I was disappointed when it ended, not because of the ending (it was great) but because I was sad it was over. Highly recommend.
