I loved the in-depth information about how Shane plays a role in so many part of our lives. And the examples helped solidify my understanding. Only thing I wish had been different (since it’s an audio book and not a print copy) was the study guide to be incorporated at the end of each chapter where I could have used it. Putting it al the end and then all as one “chapter” was very user unfriendly.

If someone were to paint a picture of God’s mighty army arising, I think you’d see mamas pushing strollers, babies with rattles in their hands. You’d see little old ladies with false teeth in their mouths. You’d see the outcasts, the castaways, and those who have been written off by society as not being able to contribute anything of value. You’d see ex-prostitutes, ex-pimps, and ex-addicts. Because, when God was looking for a man to stand in the gap and make up the hedge, they were the ones who answered the call.

I returned the physical book thinking I didn’t need to read a book about discernment- I “already have it”. God nudged me so I decided to go the audiobook route which isn’t what I do when I really want to have something sink in. WOW! This was so informative, I’m now going to get a physical copy and go back through it. Thank you Jane for sharing such insight and wisdom!
