Historia
It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

Good story

Good story and well read but would really benefit from additional narrators. The depth of character development with this many characters is just too much for one person.

Historia
From the end of the 18th century, Americans traveled west to find new homes and new lands. They brought with them the magics of plain people. It is from these roots of the American dream that award-winning writer Orson Scott Card has crafted what the Charlotte Observer called "a uniquely American fantasy." Using the lore and the folk magic of the men and women who settled a continent, and the beliefs of the tribes who were here before them, Card has created an alternate frontier America.

Disappointing
Revisado: 01-03-22
Stefan and Gabrielle are excellent narrators. Unfortunately, there were too many others that weren't quite as good. Minimally, reviewing, editing, and proofing should verify that pronunciations are similar between narrators. For example, sometimes the word cache was used; other times the word sachet was used. One of the narrators consistently refused to recognize the letter r in various words; including the name Arthur. The accents very greatly among the narrators, and work far too inconsistent. Sometimes Alvin and Margaret had deep Southern accents. Other times, no accents. French accents often contained Southern drawl and mispronunciations. Story development was deeply lacking. Character development was worse. There was too much repeating of events from previous books in the series. repeating events from previous books. Once would be understandable, but repeating the same events over and over comes across as padding.

Terrible
Revisado: 10-30-21
Too many problems to list. Just a sampling: within the first few chapters you're told that when you own dividend stocks, you don't own any shares in the company. There are multiple chapters that are less than 2 minutes in length. he says it may take years before you see a return on your money, and the larger the investment, the better, and so on.

Garbage
Revisado: 10-30-21
If you're reading this review to find out if this book will help you, you're already too smart for this book; unless of course you're looking for a financial planner to keep repeating how important a financial planner is, while also repeating how great a variable annuity is. I simply can't trust someone that believes stock diversification is achieved through investing in different stock markets. I also have trouble believing in someone that is willing to extoll the virtues of Bitcoin as an investment while you're retired. Beyond that, I also have a personal problem having faith in someone that believes the letter k exists in the word etcetera.

Written in clear, accessible language, this book seeks to free listeners from their suffering by drawing attention to the direct experience of self as abiding, loving, boundless awareness. Using practical exercises and meditations, the author guides listeners through a process of spiritual awakening, deconstructing self-delusions and integrating a new concept of existence that is free from the suffering of individual selfhood, but which acknowledges the attachments, traumatic experiences, and emotional pain of being human.

Don't bother
Revisado: 10-27-21
If you're new to the ideas and concepts of consciousness, and you've already purchased this book, you may get something out of it. However, if you haven't already purchased this book, it would probably be best for you to simply search audible for the term consciousness, and then make this book your second choice in your list. Your first choice should be any other.
Areas for improvement:
The same concepts repeated endlessly, the word "altogether" used altogether too often, disorganized thoughts and concepts,
using pointers throughout after having explained that pointers are bad, and many other instances of self-contradiction.

Historia
Since his first performance at the legendary New York nightclub “Catch a Rising Star” as a 21-year-old college student in fall of 1975, Jerry Seinfeld has written his own material and saved everything. “Whenever I came up with a funny bit, whether it happened on a stage, in a conversation, or working it out on my preferred canvas, the big yellow legal pad, I kept it in one of those old school accordion folders,” Seinfeld writes. “So I have everything I thought was worth saving from 45 years of hacking away at this for all I was worth.”

The Work is simply four questions that, when applied to a specific problem, enable you to see what is troubling you in an entirely different light. As Katie says, "It's not the problem that causes our suffering; it's our thinking about the problem." Contrary to popular belief, trying to let go of a painful thought never works; instead, once we have done The Work, the thought lets go of us. At that point we can truly love what is, just as it is.

Great concept and practice. Horrible narration. The whole thing would have been half the length if the "sweetheart"s, "angel"s, etc. would have been edited out. Very, very difficult to listen to.

I wasted my money so you don't have to.
Revisado: 10-31-16
Exceptionally poor "spewer" of other work. Lude, rude, and crude regurgitation of Hill, Allen, Tolle, and many others. Although there were many of the greats quoted [ripped off], I was unable to get beyond the illiterate reading.
Etcetera... NOT Ekcetera.
Couldn't care less... NOT Could care less.
EKCETERA...
Terrible. Spend your money on other, more well-known authors, that had original thoughts, and were able to communicate them without vulgarity. And to illustrate just how vulgar: I'm a born-and-raised Chicago south-sider, and I found it too vulgar.
