This story is so heartfelt, delivered with so much detail. It depicts the sad reality that the evangelicals today are comparable to the Pharisees in Jesus’ time: “It’s all about appearance and not about the heart”. So grateful to Julie for sharing your story !! There are many people that need to hear it and know they are not alone and that Jesus loves them independent of their sexuality!!!

Jennifer Finney Boylan is just a force to recon with. I admire her courage to be true to herself. I admire Deidre’s love and willingness to adapt. When we love someone, we change because of our love. BART describes the meaning of being redeemed in his life story. His father was redeemed, his story was redeemed. This is not a fairy tale where all are happy ever after but despite our faults and the faults that have been committed against us, our story is part of a much bigger picture. One that affects people we don’t know. But God knows them and calls them by name. This is a true story of hope and forgiveness and it’s not done yet. Thank you Bart for sharing for it must have been very hard to relive many of these stories. Blessings to you and your family!!!

I find Havilah’s encouragement and insights are great reminders that our batalha in this world is already won. Many times we are brought down by the everyday circumstances and we don’t stop to listen to God. He is by our side wanting to encourage us and make us strong. We need to open our ears to listen to the Holy Spirit who lives within us!!! This is a great read!!! Be reminded and encouraged!

Great read! We can no longer ignore the LBGTQ community. We need to talk about it and see how God sees these issues and the real people that are sometimes lost in this labeling. When these issues hit home then we start questioning them. Our leaders need to be the ones that stretch our minds. Stretch it to see through God's perspective.
