Historia
For thousands of years, Jews have looked to the Hebrew Bible, also known as the Old Testament by Christians, for their origins, and have located in them the tenets of their faith. However, much of what is recognized today as Judaism does not appear in the Bible. How did Judaism develop from its biblical roots to the highly developed system we know today? What has changed - and what has remained constant? In this series of 24 spirited and provocative lectures, Professor Gafni investigates how the Jewish faith struggled to continually redefine itself during the first thousand years after the completion of the last books of the Hebrew Bible.

One mechanism, in particular, has emerged as the most comprehensive, evidence-based, and satisfying explanation for how The Book of Mormon came to pass.

New insights to the REAL sources of the Book of Mormon
Revisado: 05-31-24
The author demonstrates the connections - both direct and indirect - between the alleged Mormon scriptures and the work of Athanasius Kertcher a 17th Century Jesuit scholar. This discovery explains the source of the alleged ‘reformed Egyptian’ alphabet, the mysterious magic compass that supposedly led members of the lost 10 tribes of Israel, and some of the names of alleged characters in Mormon lore among other things. The theses that are proposed make any any alleged revelations to Joseph Smith utterly dubious and the whole series of Mormon cults a sad case of deception foisted on millions of people over the last 2 centuries. Anyone who wishes to understand how these frauds were perpetrated needs to read this book!

Historia
Everything about the gospel message leads to the cross, and proceeds from the cross. In fact, within the narrative of Scripture, the crucifixion of Jesus is literally the crux of the story—the axis upon which the biblical story turns. But it would be a mistake to think we could sum up the significance of the crucifixion in a tidy sentence or two. That kind of thinking only insulates us from the magnificence of what God has done. In our ongoing quest to make meaning of the cross, we need to recognize that this conversation will never conclude-that there is always something more to be said.

Historia
Accounts of seemingly impossible phenomena abounded in the early modern era—tales of levitation, bilocation, and witchcraft—even as skepticism, atheism, and empirical science were starting to supplant religious belief in the paranormal. In this book, Carlos Eire explores how a culture increasingly devoted to scientific thinking grappled with events deemed impossible by its leading intellectuals.

Revisado: 04-21-20
This is an incredible book. the insights Rev. Bailey provides on Jesus and the Gospels if frankly unsurpassed in my opinion. It is one of my all time favorite books and the audio version is superb and accessible to the average listener. This is a resources that no conscientious Christian can afford to miss. You will learn so much and understand who Jesus was and what He came to teach us. I cannot recommend this book more highly.

Historia
Most children go through a dinosaur phase. Learning all the tongue-twisting names, picking favourites based on ferocity, armour, or sheer size. For many kids this love of ‘terrible lizards’ fizzles out at some point between starting and leaving primary school. All those fancy names slowly forgotten, no longer any need for a favourite. For all those child dino fanatics who didn’t grow up to become paleontologists, dinosaurs seem like something out of mythology. They are dragons, pictures in books, abstract, other, extinct.

This is the soundtrack from a video summarizing some of the newest finds in dinosaur paleontology, I got it for free as a July 4th special but it is well worth the $6.95 that is the standard charge. If you are a dinosaur fan like me, this was a fantastic update on some of the most recent finds about dinosaurs and other Mesozoic animals. I was surprised and delighted by how up to date the content was. Well worth your time!

Historia
Belisarius is a quantum man, an engineered Homo quantus who fled the powerful insight of dangerously addictive quantum senses. He found a precarious balance as a con man, but when a client offers him untold wealth to move a squadron of warships across an enemy wormhole, he must embrace his birthright to even try. In fact, the job is so big that he'll need a crew built from all the new sub-branches of humanity. If he succeeds, he might trigger an interstellar war, but success might also point the way to the next step of Homo quantus evolution.
