Great confidence booster
Revisado: 05-19-15
The narrator and author is great, dynamic, fun and have alot of intelligent things he wants to share with us "kids". I have added many things to my own design tool-kit after listening to this book, even though I am an industrial ceramicist, and the book is from a Web designers view. I have enjoyed the book several times already, but if I have to put a finger on something in the performance (criticism is good, remember?) it's the occasional scrambling with paper, chairs getting pulled out, the directors voice in the background (and why does she read one - just one - of the headlines all of a sudden, when Mike reads the rest?)... this is very minor compared to the overall picture. I'll listen to this book alot more in the future, and would like to thank Mike if I ever get the chance (in meeting, everything has to be in meeting...) for this very inspirational piece of work.
I'll go buy a suit now.

Historia
A Short History of Nearly Everything is Bill Bryson’s quest to find out everything that has happened from the Big Bang to the rise of civilization - how we got from there, being nothing at all, to here, being us. His challenge is to take subjects that normally bore the pants off most of us and see if there isn't some way to render them comprehensible to people who have never thought they could be interested in science. It's not so much about what we know, as about how we know what we know.

Simply brilliant
Revisado: 02-21-15
This is by far the most interesting and well performed science history book I have ever come upon. I've listened to it at least 10 times already, and will probably enjoy it another 10 times before I'm through.
This is unfortunately only kind of highlights of the full story, and if you crave the rest you will have to settle with a different narrator with a serious British accent.
