Historia
Air travel is one of the safest modes of transportation, but when an aircraft crashes, the consequence is devastating. Why did they happen? Were they caused by bad weather, mechanical failure, or human errors? In this book, the author introduces the 10 deadliest plane crashes in aviation history. He goes through the key events that brought down the doomed commercial jets, and he discusses how we used the painful lessons to improve aviation safety.

Worst narration I have ever heard
Revisado: 06-23-24
Narrator could not correctly pronounce many non-US city names and pacing and inflection were also awful. Took away from the story as it was incredibly distracting. I actually laughed out loud at a few of the pronunciations because they were that ridiculous.

Historia
After touring the comedy club circuit, a successful performance at the prestigious Just for Laughs International Comedy Festival in Montreal introduced Daniel Tosh to the big time. He was soon appearing at comedy festivals as far away as New Zealand and Kilkenny, Ireland, and averaging 100 college campus performances a year. He made his first appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2001 and a year later was hosting his first stand-up special, Comedy Central Presents: Daniel Tosh.

Hilarious
Revisado: 08-13-10
Daniel Tosh is hilarious if you don't mind very politically incorrect humor. If you have seen his Comedy Central special you have heard some of these tracks, but there are some different bits as well. This purchase is well worth it for true Tosh fans.

More Science than Story
Revisado: 08-02-10
I enjoyed this book though it was not quite what I expected. It does start out slow, stating information about human brain chemistry and wolf brain chemistry and how they relates to the evolution of the dog. However, it eventually comes together and you realize why the author goes into such detail. There are some cute stories about the author's dog, but I would have liked more anectodes. I was hoping for more information about the evolution of specific dog breeds and their orginal uses which did come up briefly, but was definitely not enough. The narrator does an excellent job. This book was just not quite what I expected, but if you are a true dog lover or are just interested in evolutionary science you will probably enjoy this book. If you are looking for anectodes and practical information about dogs, this book will probably be too slow and scientific for you.

Not What I Thought
Revisado: 07-22-10
After reading The Survivor's Club by Ben Sherwood I was looking for a good listen along the same lines. This audiobook was disappointing. It talks mostly about how your brain reacts to crisis situations and sprinkles in a few stories to keep it from getting too mundane. I appreciated the information on brain chemistry and functioning, but would have liked more stories and practical survival strategies. For a true adventurer, I would recommend this book. Otherwise, I would recommend Sherwood's book.
